I don't know a way to do this. Headphones do not run at speaker level. Instead they run at preamp level (before the amplifier that boosts the level to run speakers.)
I bet somebody will have some ideas for you however.
I've been told that resistors would be required at the splice point to lower the power level. I was told by the same person that the signal is too weak to run it 24 ft. straight from the stereo phone jack. He said that Koss used to sell a unit that did what I'm looking for but I checked with them and they don't make it anymore.
