I think so too. It's from the late eighties. He's the second owner. Also it has a Denon DL-160 cartridge
Would this be noticably better than my current technics sl-d2 with $80shure cartridge if they were both going through my pioneer sx-780?
I say go for it. It looks like a good deal.
Note that you'll very likely want to replace the belt ($30 or $40). And you may need to add a drop of oil to the bearing (very cheap).
I *think* you can also get an updated motor that is currently used on the P3 for relatively cheap (less than $200), but that probably won't be necessary.
