And you'll get it. But we'll all have to wait until Slim Devices releases the product in September to even get our (my) hands on one.
Considering you can buy an Olive or Cambridge music server
for a lot less money, IMO, the new Slim Devices Transporter is way overpriced.
For PC playback, an upgraded digital out only unit with a PDA style remote, allowing you to use the DAC or processor of your choice would have been a better product.
My sister insists on knowing if the "Slim Devices Transporter" is a sexual gratification device. Please elucidate.
Probably could be for her with some Tony Bennett or Perry Como crooning through it. Or, she could hook it up to a sub-woofer and...what was that trick Howard Stern did???

Well, any news in that matter? Transporter is out, and people striving to see Stereophile opinion.
Yes, Wes is working on the review. It's due to appear in early 2007.
Question, will Wes's review come with the 10+ page (my best guess) sidebar necessary to outline all the ins and outs of using a streaming music device with DRM encoded legally purchased and downloaded music? Because if the review doesn't have such a sidebar then why bother to run it in the first place?
