Franco Serblin

We are saddened to learn that Franco Serblin, founder of Italian loudspeaker manufacturer Sonus Faber, passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, at 73. Larry Greenhill interviewed Franco Serblin in June 1992 for Stereophile. We will add more details as they become available.

That is indeed sad news, as I believe that Sonus Faber is just not the same company without him, much in the same way that Alistair Aikman was synonymous with SME so too was Serblin with Sonus Faber.

If there ever was a need for a fountain of youth, this is the industry that could use it the most! 

I really hope others can continue to innovate like so many of greats that have passed away so recently...
