Boy oh boy, does this bring back memories. Many years ago when I was single and involved with an "older woman" I was introduced to such seductive/suggestive music. She would play these tunes and tell me that this was the type of music that put her in the mood. Needless to say I quickly became acquainted with any similar type of romantic music and built up quite a library.
But then I got married...
Hey Mike,
I wouldn't let marriage stand in the way of music. If push comes to shove, the choice is clear.
I would think the most obvious choice would be the Rolling Stones classic, "Sticky Fingers". Others might include: "Never Mind the Bollocks, here's the Sex Pistols" and The Who albums "Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy."
I'm an advocate for marriage (good ones anyway)- it mostly mitigates the need for porn altogether, although you can still play your favorites tracks for those special "moments".
Now I get why you prefer cd's. It takes two hands to play vinyl!
It takes two hands to play the violin. As far as vinyl, you have to get up in the middle of your entertainment to flip the side and then you may not catch the rhythm again.
Unless I use LAST, it's all over by the first side.
That could be a problem too. It's better not to have sides and not to watch the clock.
I can honestly say that I've never listened to music while watching porn, but I have considered watching porn while listening to Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin.
After listening to "Je t'aime... moi non plus" it's a quck transition to "Whole Lotta Love"...then bada bing, bada boom, sleepy time!

Alex,
I have been an audiophile and collector of cars since high school. The auto (pictured), along with my very first stereo set-up, has outlasted 2 marraiges and many "friendships". Yes, the choice was clear...it's great to have my ears back.
"Pictures of Lilly"
Just be sure that those "favorite tracks" have been shared only with ones wife.
. . .or "Mary Anne with the Shaky Hand." But it's on a different album.
My vote for sexiest song ever goes to Lucinda Williams' "Righteously" off of her album World Without Tears. According to Mrs. Williams "When you run your hand all up and run it back down my leg. Get excited and bite my neck. Get me all worked up like that." All I can say is wow, just by the tone of her voice you know that she could show a guy a thing or three.
I have that album. I'll have to add it to my porn rotation.
I haven't had the pleasure of Mrs. Williams aural delights...I'll surely give her a listening to.
She's part of the alt. country movement. Throughout much of the album she has that slightly drunk sound to her voice, which is kind of sexy.
There's lots of angst and loneliness in her songs and in her voice.
while this may seem a bit cliche, the Red Hot Chili Peppers play some sexy funky music. songs on the RHCPorn Playlist: "Sexy Mexican Maid," "Good Time Boys," "Mellowship Slinky in B Minor" "Sir Psycho Sexy" and a bunch more.
The songs have to be rhythmic and catch the pace of the video. Otherwise, it's just background music.
Oh, man. What a great song.
I like how this thread has evolved. Sexiest song ever? I have to think about this...
Right now, I'm listening to Cat Power's version of "Naked, If I Want To," which is pretty damn sexy. I mean, Cat Power can sing the national anthem and make it sound sexy, but still.
Okay, I know I'm an old fart, but Jane Monheit does it for me. When she sings "I'd cry the biggest teardrops if you went away," I melt.
Since we're talking sexiest songs: "Feelin' Love" by Paula Cole. Oh man, when she sings that line about her nipples...
Bert,
You are indeed an old fart!
How about Leonard Cohen's Chelsea Hotel #2
I remember you well at the Chelsea Hotel
You were talking so brave and so sweet
Giving me head on an unmade bed
While the limousines wait in the street.
Sexiest song, eh?
That's tough.
Alice Cooper's "Be My Lover" is associated with an early success, but I don't know if it still seems sexy because of its own sexiness or by association!
I guess for today, I'll go with..Bow Wow Wow's version of "I Want Candy."
My wife really digs John Coltrane "in that way," whenever I play one of his discs, my odds go way up!
Sorry Alex, I can't think of Leonard Cohen as sexy.
Wow, that's remarkable! I've never met a woman that's liked John Coltrane, let alone "in that way". The closest to that is my niece, who likes the version of "My Favorite Things" that's on the Atlantic label - but only that particular song.
As far as sexiest song, I think Laura Nyro does a good job with this, using euphemisms to get the point across. Here's an example:
Oh, sweet blindness,
a little magic, a little kindness.
Oh, sweet blindness,
all over me.
It could be just me with a dirty mind, but isn't this just a very poetic description of, well, the obvious?
Well, that's only because you're an old fart.
No, it's because I'm not a gay old fart.
Madeleine Peyroux does a song called "Was I?" (by Chick Endor/Charlie Farrell)on her album "Dreamland." It's about a 16 year old girl who gets drunk after meeting a guy and is asking her friend if she's still a virgin.
Chick Endor and Charlie Farrell)
Sweet young thing of sixteen
Thought I'd step out one night
I longed to get the thrilling life i've missed
I met a youth
A bit uncouth
Although he seemed alright
I knew him by the moment when we kissed
Then I got home, next day with a swollen head
My girlfriend asked if i'd had fun I said,
Good choice. Laura was a great songwriter. Greatness can be very sexy.
I always liked Aimee Mann for her honesty, vulnerability and hopelessness. The kind of girl you want to save with love and affection.
Lately, Corinne Bailey Rae has been melting my heart. Her whole album is sexy with a breathy, understated R&B thing. A very mellow, funky groove. I connected with her music on such a visceral/spiritual level I was devastated when her husband died. I didn't want her to have to go through that kind of pain when she should be on top of the world.
Muahahahha It's the song's that's sexy, not Leonard Cohen, you senile, old fart!
I've had little luck with drunk women. They either pass out or regurgitate on me. Kills the moment.
One of my recent choices would be Diana Krall's version of "Peel Me a Grape" or "Let's Face the Music and Dance".
K.D. Lang had a couple of thought provoking tunes on her "Shadowland" release.
Reminds me of a song I heard years back. Can't remember who the singer was but the lyrics went;
Breakfast in bed
With well done toast
Don't pass the jelly
Just spread it yourself
A "dirty mind" is all a matter of interpretation.
How 'bout Kate Bush's "In the Warm Room"
In the warm room
She prepares to go to bed.
She'll let you watch her undress,
Go places where
Your fingers long to linger.
In the warm room
You'll fall into her like a pillow.
Her thighs are soft as marshmallows.
Say hello
To the soft musk of her hollows.
That's great, Bert! What album is that from? I don't remember this track from the albums that I have.
It's from "Lionheart," her second album.
I have that album. I don't remember the track. I'll definitely give it a more extensive listen.
Thanks Bert.
What I like about Laura's "sweet blindness" thing is the way it combines euphemism and metaphor. Once the listener realizes the euphemistic aspect, then there is also that metaphorical layer. Maybe I'm being too roundabout here .
Another good example of a similar technique, from what I consider to be her tour de force, "I am the Blues":
'cause I'm restless
in my Love For Sale shoes
To me, the euphemism for "f*** me shoes" (if you're familiar with that expression), combined with the tribute to Cole Porter is just top notch.
That's a good version. Also, Nancy Wilson's version of Peel Me A Grape with Ramsey Lewis on "Meant To Be' is stellar. Their take of Piano In The Dark is one of the best ever.
The slight veiling of meaning and intent via use of euphemism and metaphor is indeed sexier than blatant and crass, IMO. (In the same way that great actors can show surrender and loss of control without taking their clothes off.)
Today's sexiest song is Ian Dury's "Wake Up and Make Love With Me."
"I come awake,
with a gift for women kind.
You're still asleep,
but the gift don't seem to mind..."
I thought his sexiest song/lyric was "Hit me with your rhythm stick- hit me, hit me!"
Ian wrote sexy in all kinda ways...
Today, my wife says it's Ben Webster's "Gentle Ben" album.
Really worth seeking out!
