(1) I suspect your AVR is one that only outputs its analog inputs into the tape loop.
(2)Why bother? Most AVRs have an EQ built in these days.

Agreed - However filtering through an external EQ really increases the sound quality. With my CD player running through the eq the sound much sharper. Just wondered if I'm missing something simple to ge the tuner through the eq.
