...Is the sound quality of the Denon AVR 3803 better than a Sony STRDH550 ?

Yes, the former is 7 channels & the latter is only 5. The age difference & tech advances make me wonder if it's worth all the effort to try the system out. Any replies would be greatly appreciated !
