Hi there, I just saw your post.
I live in Athens, Greece, and I am the happy owner of another pair of these fabulous speakers.
You can find a review of the Helicon 800s here:

Apparently, its a five star review.
The Helicon 400s scored highly as well at Hi FI Choice's 2006 annual awards.
I fell in love with those speakers when I heard them for the first time at a hi fi show. My previous speakers (a pair of Magnepan 2.7s) felt flat, grainy, opaque and with a lack of dynamics in comparison.
Unfortunately, I live in a small flat (the Helicons need plenty of space) and as a result the lower region suffers from resonances around the area of 100 Hz. However, I plan to move soon to a new, bigger house and this might solve the problem. Another workaround could be the covering of one of the portholes - I plan to experiment on this soon.
I drive them with a Denon 3910 as the main source, connected digitally via i-link with the all digital (class D) SONY TA DA 9000 ES.
On the downside, during the break up period, I noticed a crackling, hiss like sound originating from the left dome tweeter. The sound dissapeared after a few days, but I felt
like contacting DALI in Denmark for advice.
I send them an e-mail which was never replied..
I would love to hear about your own experiences with those babies..
Cheers..
I have read everything I can find on Dali speakers esp the Helicon 800 and as far as I can tell, they walk on water.
I own Kef ref 203 mains and Kef surrounds driven by a Denon avr-5800. The Kefs have two hi-freq tweeters per speaker and are very shrill.
As soon as I can find a buyer for the Kefs I will purchase a pair of Dali helicon 800s
At this point I'm very envious of all Dali owners. lol
