customs fees (overseas subs)

Hello, everybody.
I'm writing from Italy, and I'm wondering whether I am the only one of SP's overseas subscribers whose customs now apply import fees on the single issue mailed. It now happened for the last two issues received, and I'm afraid they won't stop; it NEVER happened before, during my longtime subscription.
Any hint/suggestions/experience?
Regards,
Carlo Iaccarino

I understand that this is due to the company that handles subscriptions to Stereophile outside the USA changing to an opaque envelope. They are reverting to a transparent envelope, which won't incur customs charges.

Thank you for your kind and

Thank you for your kind and prompt reply.

I hope that the "old" transparent envelope can skip the customs.
Yet, MANY opaque ones have passed by unnoticed...

I'm glad that noone else (at least, among forumers) chimed in experiencing my same inconvenience.

I'm writing just to let you know that yesterday the mailman delivered the January, 2022 issue.
It was still packaged in in the white, open, "traditional" paper envelope, sporting ONLY your label with the "Intl Priority Airmail - U.S. Postage Paid - Chicago, IL - Permit No. 2933" stamp, without all the previuos "customs" stuff.
All went well, with no customs problem.
Thank you again for your kind interest and support
Regards,
