Sounds suspect to me. They may contain the same drivers (individual drive units) as the Proac Response 2.5s and Monitor 7s, but why would anyone combine two full-range speaker designs in a single cabinet? In this case, I suspect that more means worse.
This isn't to say that there aren't some good DIY clones of manufactured loudspeakers out there -- there are, and some are probably hard to beat pricewise -- but this sounds like a Taint product: T'ain't one thing or the other.
