I've never heard a Creek product I didn't like- some I loved even though I eventually moved up into other brands (Krell currently). But, there is always a personal angle to this and so the combo YOU like IS the "right" one. IMO all their products are well built and strive for accuracy and a very musical presentation.

CD players are probably a tricky area though when it comes to tonality and thus it's going to be a lot of factors that come into your decision. Trust your ears man- they are what you're going to be using when you get home and plug that stuff in. Enjoy!
