I'm not sure what you're asking. You already own these components? And you don't know how to hook them up? Do you not have an owner's manual?
If that's not what you're asking, what are you asking?
P.S. There is no such thing as a "perfect" system. There are very good systems and there are lesser systems. "Relatively" good sound is just that - "relative". If you are satisfied with the sound for the money you can afford to spend, then it is probably a "relatively" good system no matter what anyone else says.
I have them, and the owners manuals...however, I'm not sure what corresponds to what if I'm connecting them together...
The Fisher components are 1986 and the DVR and the VHS are more like 2000 and 1998.
I think what I'm asking is can I connect them or should I connect them?
Thanks!
There are inputs for all of the Fisher components you have. Now all that remains to be seen is if there are additional audio inputs for your DVR and VCR. There should be additional inputs for TV and perhaps VCR on that model that could be used for the DVR and VCR. However, you may be able to connect the DVR and VCR separately to your television and have all the sound from the television, no matter the source, output from the television to the amplifier via the TV inputs. Please list the inputs on the back of the CA-871 unit.
What loudspeakers do you have?
Two things to remember:
1. Outputs go to inputs
2. The receiver is the heart of the system everything must be hooked up to it.
Make sure that everything is off when making connections. Also thinking about the signals as "water," which way does it need to flow to make sound.
