I'd look at getting a replacement stylus for an OM 30 or OM 40.
Thanks, anything else?
A OM 30 ($155) replacement stylus will turn your cartridge into a $205 cartridge and a OM 40 ($225) a $275 cartridge. The Super versions supposedly have better internal compenents.
For your turntable the Ortofon OM 40 (your cartridge upgraded with the OM 40 stylus) would provide very good listening indeed.
Thanks:
I am going increasingly retro, I bought my first actual turntable in over 30 years. It was so long ago I had to relearn everything I had known about record players, cartridges, and stylus designs. Worse, even my basic receiver, what I use for video, TV, and DVD
Always!
I suspect a modest trip to my local record exchange is rushing at me...
