hmmm, I was recently in this price market for speakers. the PSB's were on the short list. I can't say much about the differences between the t65 and t55 other than what is on the website.

One pertinant question may be is can you audition them? another possibly relevent question, how big is your room ? and yet another would be what is your associated equipment,& listening preferences? I know little about speakers relative to others on this site, but can say with conviction that taking your time and auditioning as many speakers as possible, in your price range is the best way to find out which speaker is for you.

good luck!

With such a small room, if you are going to live there for a while, I'd say to go with the speaker with the smallest footprint and the least need to be placed out in the room.

The showroom you were in is most likely double your room size, so bass should not be a problem, but the stand mounted speaker would more than likely offer you the least in that regard.

Of the floor standers, see which requires the least air behind it. A 5 X 9 room is mo' better than a 5 X 7 room in terms of useable space!

Keep us posted on what you go with!

I like psb speakers and think they are generally one of the best bargains in hi-fi. I've owned several and they worked really well with all kinds of music and electronics.

You might ask the dealer if you can trade up within a certain period of time. This way, if you opt for the smaller pair and find them lacking in your room you can trade up.

I think either one will give you plenty of thrills with the NAD gear.

If you decide to go with the smaller one you could add a subwoofer later.
