DUP,

I think you're onto something here but you haven't taken it far enough. Why settle for the dirty power which comes from your local utility company when you can make your own?

Home Generator Model One (for analog components)

Home Generator Model Two (for digital components and power amps)

With these installed, in your neighboor's rear yard of course, you'll never have power line problems again but then you'll have to find a good source for audio grade No. 2 fuel oil.

Personally, I'm thinking wind or solar power stored in batteries.

I'm sure that the Supreme Court would rule that to be cruel and unusual punishment.

Perhaps there's a way to harness all the heat given off by class A power amps and convert it back into electrical power? Give the whole process some kind of fancy name, have some long time audio big shot endorse it, write a white paper on it and put a high enough price tag on it and I bet you could pass the whole thing off a whole lot of audiophiles.

We are such fools at times, it's really quite sad.
