I should have added...the system is used primarily for music and the occasional DVD, and I live in a loft.
If you wanna srick with your current amp,get some 8ohm loudspeakers with at least over 91-92 db sensitivity.

Went to a high-end shop last night and the sales guy was steering me towards them. Seems my little Denon could probably handle them, and at $250/pr certainly easy on the wallet.
Well,they're good speakers but at the end of the day,it is you who'll be listening to them ! If you like them,get them but don't let the dealer tell you what to do.Try to audition
as much as you can but not more than 2 pair per session.
