Curious as to why MF's Analog Corner is not available on the website like other columns? Just curious.

A continuing concern of ours is the free availability of almost all the magazine's content on the website "cannibalizing" the sales of the paper magazine. (10 years into the Web, it is still the print magazines that support their websites financially.) I decided from the outset of our site in December 1997 that the 3 most popular features in the magazine -- Sam's Space, Analog Corner, and Recommended Components -- would not be available free on-line.

I fully understand. Regards.
JA: Has any thought been given to providing access to premium content through the website for subscribers to the magazine? I'm thinking of the NY Times "Times Select" service where home delivery customers get online access to the columnists and extra archival material.
Thanks.
Whoops forgot to sign in for that comment.

It's something we have been thinking about for a while. We have a 2-day meeting planned in LA in April to discuss the possibility of this and other strategies. Stay tuned.

I'd be willing to pony up for that, as well.
