The amp of your dreams...what would it be?

This is an easy one for me. Without blinking an eye it would be a McIntosh. The MC402 in particular. Oodles of pure American muscle, 400w per channel (min) to be exact. I just love the history of the company, the technology, and lets not forget those gorgeous blue meters. To my ears the sound is just so sweet & involving that I get goose bumps. Well, like the title says - the amp of your dreams. I've been saving loose change for some time now & maybe in a few more years. Till then I'll just "Dream On"

I'll take a pair of VTL Siegfried monoblocks. Someday...
Aw, heck, now I have to list the system in its entirety.

VTL Siegfried
VTL TL-7.5 Series II
DeVore Fidelity Silverback
Ayre C-5xe
Slim Devices Transporter
Magnum Dynalab MD-109
VPI TNT-HRX/Lyra Titan
VTL TP-6.5

Sorry for going off-topic a bit, I just build dream systems in my head all day!

This an easy one. I'm saving up for the following No 431 stereo Mark Levinson now. Gotta have a goal!

But if cost were no object:

What sold me on the brand is the preamplifier. If you look at the way it measured, there is no question their amps are good. Mark Levinson No.326S line preamplifier. Probably the cleanest preamp measured in the history of Stereophile:
