7" - 10" on a Reel to Reel

Sorry if this is a silly question - is there a reason why I can't use a 10" take-up reel when playing a 7" tape?

No problem. The inner hub taking up the tape is the same size.

Thanks for your reply - I was concerned about throwing the GX-747 dbx out of whack.
