Streaming has taken over CD sales which does not surprise me. I am curious as I have Tidal HiFI (CD Quality?). My download speed in 860 mbps. I can say that the quality of tidal HiFi is not the same as the same CD played through my computer. Has anyone else experienced this, and if not, it may be my USB interfaces holding Tidal HiFi back.

It’s the sign of the times. I read somewhere, dunno if it’s true or not, that jazz and classical music sales combined only account for 2% of sales.

In other words, in the UK in 2022, CDs outsold vinyl two-to-one. In 2021, it was closer to three-to-one with 14m CDs and 5m vinyl LPs sold.

Just as the LuxuriousBelt™ did not outsell the BudgetBelt™ in our thought experiment, vinyl did NOT outsell CDs in the UK last year.
