You might consider expanding
You might consider expanding your world of knowledge just a tad, remember that Stereophile put a couple of Belt devices on recommended components list a few years ago. Don’t let your reality tunnel block you in. Are you afraid of the word fractal?

Agreed. While we're all familiar with advanced technology and magic, etc, I don't think that's the case here. There is sufficiently advanced tech to tell us that there is nothing here. I don't need to jump off a building to see if I will fall up.
