Help with audio going out

Hello!

I just joined this forum in hopes I can find out what is causing my issue.

I have this weird issue where my right (rarely left) channel wont work while the other works fine. To fix it I have to aggressively increase the volume. Once they "open up" I can turn it back down and then it is fine.

Speakers are Klipsch RP 500M and the Amp is an Onkyo A-SV620.

Thanks!

-Andrew

Possibly a corroded contact

Possibly a corroded contact in that channel's circuitry.

It was a crap RCA cable in the end! Thanks for the reply anyways!

same issue with speakers - left one works, right one won't

Hi there, I've been trying to revive my late husband's stereo setup (Sat in a closet for 11 years). My right speaker isn't getting any signal at all, not even static; I've tested the RCA cables and the speakers and the speaker wires, and my turntable only gets sound from the left speaker. I've got a vintage Conrad-Johnson PVI tube pre-amp; I think that's where the trouble is. Is there an easy fix?
