Speaking about Thiel CS7 and old but very good loudspeakers system. I have one set since 1997. I changed twice the fragile tweeters in these last long years. Last week again one of my tweeters started to give some "ssshhhhh" on piano and voice recordings. I contacted Thiel Audio for replacing it but they don't have any spare parts because Scan Speak closed production of this driver.
Someone of you can help me in some way to try to recover my old but wonderful sounding CS7s?
Thanks!

Unfortunately, the parts for a given speaker are often made to custom specifications, and when that part is no longer available, it is simply not possible to restore the speaker to its original performance.

You got 20 years out of those, and now it is time to buy some new ones.

The Thiel TT1 is currently available, and Stereophile recently reviewed them very favorably.

You might also want to consider the Vandersteen Treo speakers. I have them and they are some of the best I have ever heard. There is also a Stereophile review available to read.

From the Audiogon forums...the suite number might be suite 30 instead.
