I use the PSB Alpha PS1 speakers with my desktop PC. They are excellent.

I used to have Audioengine speakers, which are not bad, but the Alpha PS1 are much better; the best I have heard.

I understand Focal has some powered speakers that are very good, but I have not heard them (and they might also be larger than I want).
