yes, I did some research on this about a year ago and my understanding was that the design incorporating 7 power amplifiers means that the impedance is not affected by the addition of more speakers. However,the info concerning this was somewhat ambiguous. I even called Denon and spoke to an engineering tech,and he didn't seem to have a definite answer.Or maybe I just didn't understand his explanation. He told me that the receiver has a potential total power output of (get this), over a thousand watts on an instantaneouse basis. In fact, you can find this in the specs somewhere.
