Those are two very different speakers, and each one has its own performance limitations and amplification requirements.

There have been a lot of articles written on Magnepan speakers, in particular, and the demands they put on amplifiers. You should do some research and read the reviews and discussions of the issues.

One thing is for sure; you can't just hook any amplifier to a Magnepan speaker and get it to perform well.

There is a lot to be learned there if you take the time and trouble to do it.
