Rogers Waters - Amused to Death - seriously underrated album
It would be hard for me to think that anyone could give Amused To Death anything but the highest rating possible. A "Q"-sound masterpiece! A must when referencing one of my systems.

Which is the best format/pressing of ATD ?
I have it on CD and my FLAC files are ripped from the same CD. It is a great sounding disc. I am not sure what other formats it is or was available on other than cassette.
Much Thanks!
I just picked up A Farewell to Kings on 200g vinyl. It has always been a favorite of mine but this new pressing Is just amazing. Xanadu just sounds amazing.
For CD, stick w/ the original (not remasters) titles of RUSH!
Allen, I saw that Music Direct has Amused to Death on 200g vinyl for $49.99. Not cheap but much better than $397 price point on Amazon.
I am listening too the Genesis '76 to '83 Box Set - Though I have spent a lot of time with ABACAB and Trick of the Tale in particular.
Thanks! for sharing- I am a big Genesis fan as well.
Back to more John Coltrane!

+1 Let it Bleed- is perfect.
Jimmy Buffet - Buffet Live Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.
I have always been a fan of live recordings and in general I think they sound great. His version of Southern Cross on this record is fabulous. Its a little chilly to be "struttin' naked through the corsswalk" here in CT but truly a fun, great sounding record.

Folkish. Nice fat sound. Well mixed. Great stage. A little harmonica and a nice amount of steel guitar without all of the nasty "twang" that normally accompanies it.
Give it a try!
Bill Evans- Some other Time.
Wes Montgomery
Been going through my daft punk collection after re-reading some goodies from John A. What an amazing head trip when the system is tuned in for these recordings! SOUND STAGE!
Fun trip, thanks John!

Good to see you- MG.
I am listening to some remastered releases of Peter Gabriel's So, Us & Up. They are 180 Gram, 45rpm Half-Speed Remasters.
I have a 33rpm version of So to serve as a point of comparison. I feel like the sound stage on these remasters is wider and deeper. I have been using That Voice Again as one of my reference tracks when setting up my system and am very pleased with how good these records sound.
The other great thing is with the purchase of these limited editions, you get a Hi-Res digital version of the records as well.
Genesis.
Today I've been tuning "the bird and the bee".

Can't seem to get enough of "The Blue Notebooks" by Max Richter, I just seem to be playing it over and over again. I don't do that with much music anymore.
You're so right, this is an excellent CD. It was one of my go-to CD's to demo the dynamic range of my Klipschorns, along with the great music as well.
David Gilmour- Rattle that Lock
Happy New Year!
