This looks like a merger made in Heaven, Michael's TombLand and Catacombo sound systems for coffins. Tuning really can go on forever. Literally.

"The dance of death eventually envelops us all, but until now there wasn’t any music. That’s all changing, thanks to Swedish company Pause Ljud & Bild, which is offering coffins complete with speakers and a streaming Spotify account to keep the tunes rocking in the grave, MyFoxNY reports. For $30,000, audiophiles can jam all afterlife long in one of these special coffins, known as the CataCombo Sound System and featuring two-way speakers and a “divine” subwoofer.

Friends and relatives of the deceased can even select songs to play using Spotify that will then go out over the coffin's speakers via a wireless 4G Internet connection embedded in the person's gravestone, according to the company's website.

Fredrik Hjelmquist, CEO of Pause, has vowed to be buried in one of the coffins and is allowing strangers to add to his "Pause 4-Ever" playlist. As Silicon Republic points out, it now features such fitting songs as Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” and Jon Bon Jovi’s “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” -- but at only 931 songs for all eternity, Hjelmquist better hope the list is set on repeat.

The CataCombo Sound System first made headlines back in December 2012, before it included the addition of Spotify. The idea was lampooned on "The Colbert Report," where Stephen Colbert summed up his take on the product: "If you just spend enough money, death will be pleasant.”

Geoffy's pattern is the same on this forum and throughout the internet.

Deflection, obfuscation, references to violence, drugs, alcohol, sexual/physical/emotional/cognitive dysfunctions, cartoons, caricature, on and on.

That is the world according to Geoffy.

What Geoffy creates in return is heaps of scorn and ridicule.

....why don't we all turn on the music and enjoy the hobby of listening!

Yet another thread is posted on this forum asking what is wrong. I think the question was, why aren't there any normal audiophiles here? The answer is pretty simple. Most of the normal audiophiles have left because this forum is not moderated. There's nothing here to monitor internet etiquette and frankly "normal" audiophiles don't want to have every other post trolled by people such as geoff kait.

I thank ChrisS for being a responsable audiophile. The only way for this forum to get back to listening is to do something as simple as start listening. It's a mystery for those who have left, how & why the mods here choose not to take action on the internet trolling.

On the other hand, this thread has made clear the difference between the Stereophile audio trolls such as geoff & may vs audiophiles who are actually involved (doing) the audiophile hobby.

I'm glad TuneLand is on the listening side instead of the "mocking" & "sparring".

As my friend Steven says "enjoy the music". On the flip side you see these unhappy trolls trying to breed as many unsuccessful folks as they can. Why is noone here any more? Why do you think? Listening to music isn't about being an unsuccessful listener and never reaching bliss. Audiophile listening is about becoming a successful listener and the music itself. Any forum who opens itself up to internet trolls becomes something other than the original topic.

Stereophile has an option. This can either be a forum about Stereo-philes or it can be a forum about "internet trolling", it won't be both, it can't be both. For the forum here not to monitor internet trolling, Stereophile sets the bar to not rise above the troll and the newbee, until trolled. There might be a few who ride the fence or don't mind being in the company of trolls, but most serious listeners don't have the time or will to be in the same company. The only reason I am here at this point is to promote another option.

Just more hog swallop from some pro audio guy trying to dig up business on a commercial audio magazine web site. Gentle readers, come on, have you ever heard of such foolishness? The whole Tuning thing, especially all the lying and posturing, must surely have run its course. Michael refuses to talk about ideas and theory, apparently abhors them, but wants us all to gather in the TombLand tent out in the desert and listen to his non stop sermonizing. No wonder everyone left. Duh! The whole idea behind audio forums is to make it a place to discuss IDEAS and THEORY, not to make it a place for prostituting and sermonizing. And speaking of prostitutes, that would make Chris the prosititure's little cleaner upper, you know, after the John has had his way with the prostitute.

I really don't blame you too much for trying to make a hero out of your little lap dog Chris and trying to make it look as though it's not you that's the liar and the troll. The difference is I'm a professional troll, you on the other hand are strictly an amateur. Now that you have pretty much left Stereophile forum, I mean except for trying to recoup some of your self esteem and rewrite history maybe this forum can get back to discussing the wide range of hi end audiophile topics, including lots of theory and IDEAS and not have to put up with the limited and bizarre point of view of TombLand. You had a nice run. It appears the time has come to fold up your tent, move along and try to find another host you can suck dry. Maybe you can find an old trunk you can keep your gimp in and bring him out to do your bidding.

geoff, I doubt that very few readers here think of you as anything more or less than what you say you are. There's no mystery to the games folks like you and may belt play. As ChrisS and many others have pointed out for over a decade this is your MO. All someone needs to do is go to a search engine, look up http://www.bing.com/search?q=internet+troll&form=PRHPR1&src=IE11TR&pc=HRTS and read up on what you and may do "professionally". The two of you make up lies about others and then accuse those same people as being the liars or whatever it is that you choose to try to make readers believe. What you don't get (and I think may might) is that if you do the "constant" trolling gig, your pretty much done in the realm of credibility.

You see geoff, everyone here knows you don't even have a stereo. You showed that card when you told members to get rid of their systems and buy a 35 year old Sony Walkman cassette player, which you promoted on Audiogon and your website.

Second, you fail to understand that as you keep trolling in one spot, this or a couple other forums you troll, people who visit those forums bust you, like as what has been done here and in time you are forced to admit you are indeed an internet troll. People can read you lie about others, fact check, and then see that it is you who has created or tried to create those lies. Your's and May's schtick is so repetitive people (even newbees to the forum) don't go for long before they realize that they have been had, by one guy not even having a stereo and one gal who has never given proof that she has.

Third, fact check. As above, all anyone has to do is fact check that you indeed have the MO as internet troll, read definition and see while reading any thread here that your knowledge on these topics are extremely limited or falsely created by you for the sole purpose of providing a place for you to troll. As you yourself say, you are a professional internet troller. That's what you do. You are http://www.bing.com/search?q=internet+troll&form=PRHPR1&src=IE11TR&pc=HRTS and everything that comes with it.

Forth, and this one is a good one. Trolls sometimes get away with their trickery and ruin threads or entire forums because people get tired of dealing with them. Hundreds of members here for example have left because of the trolling happening. At first they get caught up in the troll itself, trying to be the nice neighbor "can we all just get along" type, but in time they too see that this is all a trolling setup from the start.

Fifth, internet trolls are cowards. Internet trolls find that they can do things behind the keyboard that they would never be able to pull off face to face. Not only are they not skilled on the topics, but they will do just about anything when confronted to make it look like they have the power and or will to attack. They'll attempt to come off with a show of strength, but in heat have nothing more than words to spin. They have nothing to "show". They spend all of their time trying to create spins so they never have to face themselves, the truth or others. All talk no action.

Sixth, being called out. On Stereophile the one thing geoff in particular faces is being called out in a way that sticks. geoff kait has ruined his reputation as someone in audio, but what really gets to this audio troll is that geoff is not able to escape his MO in order to mix it up with just enough audio to keep him in the game. In other words geoff is exposed everytime his spinning begins. geoff can't help himself but to get in the last word, and this would be ok if he was smart enough to land on an up note. However internet trolls are so self absorbed they loose the ability to see themselves outside of the mental state they are in. Studies suggest they are extremely bi-polar and usually post during a manic state. Thus with geoff you see him getting worked up and posting pictures and attacks with everything he has in his power.

and lastly on this post

geoff, keeps getting trumped by one of the members here who has his number, calls him out consistently and it drives geoff crazy that he is not able to make a dent in ChrisS armor. geoff looses every battle in the end, but no one gets under geoff kait's skin like ChrisS. People here (the smart ones) have seen geoff trolling me for what it is and I took the long route giving every chance to geoff and may to show what they had before I made my judgements. But with ChrisS geoff has no comeback and whenever geoff tries to attack Chris it falls like a flat note. Watching geoff run full steam hitting the same wall is even comical.

As I have said geoff trolling me is amusing once you've read the plot a few times, or sad if you have come here to actually be a part of the listening hobby only to find the stereophile trolls will never let that happen. But watching the cartoonish geoffy boy Kramer make an "A" out of himself everyday hitting the same ChrisS wall is almost as good as the daily comics.

ChrisS, please never stop! No matter what geoff tries to do and from whatever angle, when ChrisS puts up the "heaps" quote it paints that vivid picture for me of a guy (referring to geoff) who keeps Triumph the Insult Comic Dog posters plastered all over his house for inspiration. I can't say I understand geoff the self proclaimed internet audio troll, but I wish him peace some day.

now someone go flip that vinyl for me :)

Hi Allen

Sounds like you've been looking at forum archives and not http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/ . Click on the link I just provided and see if it is different from what you have been viewing. The TuneLand Techno-zone doesn't have any categories older than 2015.

As far as threads go, it's the same as here or any forum. Newer threads stay at the top. However if there are specific topics or threads you would like to see more on, come up on TuneLand and ask to have more on the topic. Lately we have been swamped with orders and projects, but I will be happy to get around to any topic of interest.

As far as the website addresses (separate from phpBB) we are in the process of combining all the info from the past and putting it into a new interactive website that allows the reader to plug in their system and configure their personal path as they go.

If you've come to the Stereophile forum wondering where the personal system threads are, your not alone.

Join us on TuneLand, where you can share your system and sound with the audiophile community. Many of the Stereophile members have joined TuneLand's http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/c2-listener-s-forum (listener's forum)and many more visiting.

Unless there was a malfunction taking out posts from a newer thread put up in this forum, it appears the Stereophile Mods have monitored the thread vinyl vs digital. Might I say "I jumped for joy seeing this".

Many members here have expressed to me that they wish the threads could be more productive, I agree. These pages deserve to be part of the rest of the audiophile community. I hope the practice we saw happen today can be continued and we can get on with the joys of this great hobby. Thank You John!

Speaking for TuneLand, we enjoy the fellowship with this and other forums and magazines who seek to support our hobby. It's all about the music and moving forward.

If you did indeed Mod the thread mentioned John, class act! I will push that we strive for keeping this and all audio forums on the up-swing.

Hi Allen

I would say most people go to either http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/f3-home-audio-systems or http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/f10-audio-around-the-world here's my personal thread http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/t4-michael-s-system and my older archived threads http://www.michaelgreenaudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=33 .

For my more current listening you might want to visit http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/t4p700-michael-s-system

My listening and systems are spread out all over TuneLand but above is a start. Also I'm doing a thread that I started a while back and need to pay attention to. It's basically a look at a bunch of my systems in short form. I'll try to use that thread to tie together a lot of my systems so people don't need to weed through tons of thread pages. I've had so much equipment and rooms over even the last ten years it will take time to find the posts among the listening. There are over 1400 pics so will be a work in progress as I find time.
