Pop up ads for ToonLand

Hey, Michael, have you given any consideration to taking out an ad in Stereophile on line forum, you know, one of those pop up ads? People love em.

thanks, but....

...I'm not sure taking promotional advice from a guy who uses a VooDoo Doll as his avatar, Cheap Earbuds as his reference speakers and doing free Green Pen give-a-ways (shipping included) with zero takers, is the greatest of ideas lol. First thing I do when someone gives me advice (I recommend others do the same in this case) is go to a search engine, I'll use Google, and type in the name of the person giving the advice https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=geoff+kait .

So, as much as I appreciate geoff promoting TuneLand, in his very unusual way, the results tell the story and I'm thrilled for all the new members.

Under the skin

Nice to see you still got me under your skin. Y'all come back, ya hear.

After two years I think I can safely say you didn't learn a damn thing. Just shows you how strong the grip of Audio Nervosa can be. You kids out there, don't try this at home. Stay in school.

2 years....

...has it been that long. Time has a way of flying by. I have indeed learned a few things.

trolls

1) internet trolls such as geoff & May use whatever twist or turn they can to discourage others, regardless what it does to their own reputation

2) audio internet trolls don't have much relevance of their own and try to stir the pot instead of contribute to the hobby

3) trolls who discourage others don't have proovin successful audio systems to show of their own

4) "real" listeners could care less what audio trolls have to say

listeners

1) there are a ton of listeners hunting for methods of listening

2) those hunting don't feel comfortable on the Stereophile Forum for long term consistant advice

3) listeners on the Stereophile Forum usually belong to more forums than just this one

4) as the industry matures, new ideas from both the high end and mainstream camps grow closer together, with part of the listeners stuck on the old while the rest are able to advance, making their "whole" system into a method that turns their listening area into a private concert hall, however the Stereophile Forum doesn't share this approach

Stereophile the magazine

1) the Stereophile magazine, after all these years still puts the biggest component (environment) last instead of first

2) by feeding only components to buyers, the listening class has moved to other sources for their sound

3) Stereophile has been gracious, letting many different views show up, both good and harmful without moderating, but this forum looks much different than the magazine

4) the Stereophile Forum looks more like an expansion of the letters to the editor (gone wild) instead of an organized progressive audio forum

So, what I have learned this last two years is the audiophile listener that is in search of deeper listening tools and methods are not getting fed here as compared to TuneLand and who knows how many other forums. I've learned that so far Stereophile has allowed me to share, and I am thankful for that. At the same time many have asked me why RoomTune and Michael Green Audio hasn't been updated in the review sections? My answer to this request from many is, I don't know. RoomTune acoustical products started a "revolution" according to TAS, was used for JS "matter of taste" along with my Racks. Guy Lemcoe reviewed both the RT's and Racks. My products, acoustical, racks, cones from 91-97 were in every issue of Stereophile's magazine, so I might have to pay a staff member at Stereophile to up date this, who knows.

In the meantime we're having a great time on TuneLand and hope the readers here join us in the adventures of listening to music and tuning in the best of the best.

Geez, here we go again!

May and I are not discouraging others, my fluffy haired friend. We are ENcouragung others. We are ENcouragung others to be be open minded, to think for themselves and to experience as much about this hobby as possible before drawing conclusions or jumping to conclusions one way or the other. Conclusions about audio formats, dynamic range, cassettes, portable players, vibration isolation, vibration damping, you know, things YOU have apparently made your mind up about a long time ago and refuse to reexamine the evidence. We are encouraging them to explore, to investigate, to experiment.

What I have learned the pas couple of years thanks to you that no matter how hard you try you simply cannot change a person's mind who has made it up. It's the perfect example of the Backfire Effect, I.e., the more evidence you present and the more intellectual arguments you present to the person who's enamored of his IDEA the more stubborn and unyielding he becomes. ToonLand is kind of the Quicksand of audio, the more you struggle the deeper you sink.

Michael wrote,

"2) those hunting don't feel comfortable on the Stereophile Forum for long term consistent advice." (Misspelling corrected, you're welcome.)

So, in conclusion, what we have here is simply a case of Michael Green doesn't feel comfortable with this forum long term because there are people here who actually question him and GASP disagree with him. The Stereophile Forum is what it has always been for the past six or seven years. At least. It's just when a manufacturer comes into the forum or ANY forum with whatever his products and concepts happen to be and attempts to DICTATE Rules of Conduct, the topics of discussion along with a NON STOP PROGROM of proselytizing, personal attacks and refusal to discuss theory or ideas there's something dreadfully wrong somewhere.

Payment ?????

>>> “1) internet trolls such as geoff & May use whatever twist or turn they can to discourage others, regardless what it does to their own reputation” <<<

Where on earth did you get the impression that Geoff and I “use whatever twist and turn to discourage others” ??

You are at it YET AGAIN, Michael, deliberately spreading misinformation.

It is actually the opposite. We (Geoff and I) encourage people to get the best from their music sources and equipment.

I think it is YOU who goes out of your way to discourage people from doing anything – other than YOUR promotion of variable tuning. You deliberately discourage people from trying or doing anything which could be a “fixed tweak” – without, of course, the “fixed tweak” in question is one of YOUR techniques.

>>> “My products, acoustical, racks, cones from 91-97 were in every issue of Stereophile's magazine, so I might have to pay a staff member at Stereophile to up date this, who knows.” <<<

Talk about “biting the hand that feeds you” !!!!! You have just insulted Stereophile and all their staff by suggesting that they would have to be offered payment in order for them to mention your devices when, to my knowledge, Stereophile have allowed you to post i.e instigate new threads on the chat forum – since January 2011 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For 5 years !!!!!!! Without you having to pay anything – all free postings !!!

Thank you Stereophile members and magazine. Not sure I could have asked for better responses from the Stereophile members who are trolling these threads and other forums. I also am thrilled by the Stereophile members who have encouraged me to call out the trolls here.

http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/t343-stereophile-the-other-side-of-the-hobby

Readers from 2 years ago on can read the Stereophile threads trolled for themselves and the way listeners respond to them, including myself. Before this time May trolled other forums, who knows how far back, I didn't know who May Belt was before 2 years ago. I'm pretty sure May at 90 years old has no intention of changing her approach to spinning posts by others. Her MO is all over many forums as well on almost every thread she jumps on here. So for those wanting to hit the repeat button that's totally up to them.

also, biting the hand that feeds me?

This is simply another troll (good luck with that one). I think that maybe the folks at Stereophile know when I am joking, if not they may certainly ask me. I have always spoke my mind since my first concert and I would think is why I have been used in so many setups, productions and fellow listeners systems. I think Stereophile would benefit by putting up my involvement, at least this is what many of the members here think. Doesn't make a lot of sense to not acknowledge the group of people who put tuning on the map, who ever they are.

lying, really? lol

I don't see the lying everyone is suppose to be doing about geoff and may. What I see is geoff and may doing what they say they do...

"geoff said

Kinda hard to lie with direct quotes. As far as "interpretations", as you say "deal with it". Even the Bible is interpretated over 3,000 different ways in print, and I'm guessing it may be a little bit more studied than either of you. When the both of you say someone is lying or deliberately spreading misinformation, honestly it just looks like two old farts with bad hair "daze".

May, sorry but I don't see your work as being important enough to "deliberately spreading misinformation". I haven't seen you introduce anything new to the hobby. I know this bugs you, but again I'm being honest. As I have said many times here, I have no idea why you even come to my threads at all. geoff has a portable cassette player as his reference and you haven't even shown that you have a stereo setup. That to myself (I can't speak for anyone else) makes the both of you mute as far as I am concerned.

may says "I think it is YOU who goes out of your way to discourage people from doing anything"

Readers see may shouting at me again. Well, I guess people have to judge for themselves, but take a look at this for yourselves readers of the Stereophile forum... http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/t342-ces-2016-las-vegas ...does this look like I'm discouraging people from doing anything? I have reviewers and listeners calling me the "Johnny Appleseed" of high end audio. So maybe geoff and may should reconsider their tone toward me, or attempt to be more truthful themselves. In other words I have no reason to lie about these two internet audio trolls.

Hey, you don't like me promoting the fun side of audiophile listening, maybe you should invest in your money and time in your versions. To me and many of the members here, the "tune" looks to be having quite a good time with the rest of the industry, not sure what the two of you are looking at. Again as I said earlier your free to interpret, but I'm not sure others see us in the same discouraging mode that the may & geoff team try to paint. I believe (could be wrong) we spent more time and money the last few shows on room to room good will than almost any other company. Your whole MG is a downer on other companies will probably never take wings, you are misrepresenting my words and actions, others don't buy it and makes you look like two old folks that have no relevance of their own.

I'm sorry may & geoff, but I'm probably the last person in this hobby for you to choose to try to paint as a downer. I'm just too positive of a listener to pull that with. Second, as we are happy listeners we also are considered some of the most open minded and fair listeners in the hobby. So unless you edit the videos, live streams, pics and promos we do to encourage the hobby as a whole, you might want to think about someone else to troll, cause I doubt many in this hobby and industry are going to bite.

It looks to me TuneLand is gaining in the smile department industry wide. I could be bias :)

Hi Allen

Thanks for the comments! We're building a new virtual website that hopefully will be out sometime this year. TuneLand is designed on 32"-42" screens. Pics are setup between 525-600 wide. I'll talk to our designer and see if we can make available different templates for viewing.

TuneLand archive and techno-zone were both designed by using existing templates (as most are), however with us moving toward a newer version of site+forum maybe there are a few options we can add in for viewing.

Things that we will be adding are virtual settings, live streaming, skype and virtual interaction. We've been taping our videos for the past 2 years now and in time will be intergrating everything into a more involved site.

What size screen do you use, if I may ask?

Let me help you out

I realize you're having trouble posting anything interesting these days, especially in your rather lame and repetitive efforts to besmirch my good name. Let me help you out. Here's one article from The Amazing Randi's James Randi Educational Foundation weekly SWIFT report. Please note I get first billing. Uri Geller is second. Uri is the bender of spoons, I'm the bender of minds.

Hey, I just had a idea for you. You might consider changing the name of ToonLand to The Michael Green Educational Foundation. It has a nice ring to it, no?

another great system on TuneLand

Every day on TuneLand, every day at TuneLand and every day on our phones and emails we get to explore the greatest audiophile systems in the world http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/t288p270-greetings-from-malaysia

We listen to music together, go to concerts and share, and create our own personal concert halls within our homes. TuneLand thrives on the ideas of others as they/we share our daily listening walks on our listening threads. We also see many listeners who get to the place where they leave after learning how to tune, coming back now and then to say hi, and share their successful experiences in the tune.

TuneLand is a community without internet trolls. Frankly we're to busy enjoying the music and spreading good news about the hobby, not only about us, but about any part of this hobby and industry bringing joy to the millions of music lovers, each having their own special and varying views and loves.

On a post above you read from one of the audio trolls here "I realize you're having trouble posting anything interesting these days"

What he leaves out is the fact that, while he's trolling these pages his high end audio system is a portable sony walkman cassette player from the 80's, plus the same level portable CDP. He post about products and product types that he has never owned and never even used. I and others here have been on threads with him to only find out that he has no experience at all on the very topics he engages his views on. Now he and his friend say people aren't leaving because of them, when all of us can clearly see the threads and forums here are ghost towns.

But this really isn't about a geoff kait experience on Rip Off Reports, even though he prides himself on the many trolls, fraud and out right lies he creates or tries to paint his own reputation on others. Nope the people are leaving here because there are other places to go, that talk about more than internet trollings endless cycles. And, I don't blame them for leaving. Why stay if you are going to be "mocked and sparred" with everytime you express your successful adventures?

These Stereophile threads & forums don't congratulate successful listening any more. TuneLand on the other hand welcomes success. Let me give you a fact readers. This forum in the last 2 years has attempted over 10 threads asking for the members to rally themselves to start listening to music and sharing the results. Every one of those threads have crashed & burned because of trolling activity and a general lack of the sense of community. The very thing that makes other audio forums thrive cause this forum to barely have anyone passing each other on the listening streets, saying hi. Some negative forces on this forum use interaction with me as their only forum of relevance, isn't that strange. Why would someone post on my thread talking about joining TuneLand, when they themselves are afraid to death to post on a forum that supports the audio community as a whole?

posting

Tuning is the universe of all things variable in which everything audio is a part of, yet the stereophile trolls here try to paint the picture that tuning "is only one way". Mainly may belt & geoff kait are the ones throwing this tantrum everytime I or someone who is actively successfully listening shows up. Go read the threads for yourselves there's tons of them. I or someone comes up with positive news or sharing that someone can get positive results and there is the may & geoff team saying they are being misrepresented in some way calling everyone else liars somehow.

now let's look at TuneLand

Someone comes up on TuneLand and shares good listening news, and we are all pretty much right on top of it asking questions and celebrating the adventure. Why do people come to TuneLand from here? Maybe part of it is because of may & geoff. Maybe the may & geoff show has run too many episode re-runs. Maybe the Stereophile forum in general has done the same. Or maybe the real audiophile listener is bored to death with me coming up here only to be trolled. Maybe it has nothing to do with me, the real listeners are just plain bored here. I mean raise your hands, how many of you like talking about your high end system with one, geoff not having a system, and two, may never showing she has a system? Now raise your hand if you enjoy coming to a forum that says they are either going to "mock you" or "challange, sparr" with you? Do you readers really come here to be sparred with or mocked from a person who has no system and the other who won't show theirs?

it's no surprise

This hobby has got to be more than being "mocked & sparred". It's got to be more than anrgy at the world under-achievers. This hobby and this magazine was built on the foundation of good spirited sharing (with a tad of too much ego), but to have a thread like this one (based on the spirit of sharing) trolled by the most obvious of audio trolls in the industry (even posting their brags as such) points to this forum loosing it's class & reputation along with those trolling.

it's simple

You can read the following posts on this thread full of musical sharing, or you will see the trolls come to post spins, deceit, lies, unsuccessful listening, no info on their own systems and poor internet conduct accusing me and the other happy listeners as being the ones at fault. Happy, listening to music, varying points of view, successful, these are at fault? If these are at fault on the Stereophile forum, no wonder people are leaving. No wonder people are looking for more than being mocked & sparred with.

remember JGH & HP? I do! And what is seen here, aint them!

amazing that TuneLand looks more like the future thoughts of the founders of Stereophile & TAS than Stereophile & TAS on the forums of all 3.

You quoted me.

You quoted me, Michael :-

>>> “May says “ I think it is YOU who goes out of your way to discourage people from doing anything" <<<

You have quoted it in this way. Yet another of your misrepresentations. You have deliberately left out the end of my sentence, meaning that it IS a misrepresentation of my words.!! I actually said :-

“I think it is YOU who goes out of your way to discourage people from doing anything – other than YOUR promotion of variable tuning.”

You keep doing this, Michael. You keep deliberately misquoting what I say, obviously hoping that those misquotes of yours will eventually become accepted as fact !!!!!

I have repeatedly and very carefully explained the exact areas and the exact pronouncements where I have challenged other peoples ‘postings’ over the years.

I have repeatedly and carefully explained that these particular exchanges CAN end up with what is generally described as “sparring”.

I DO NOT (as you constantly imply) deliberately go out to “spar” with anyone and everyone who ‘posts’!!

But I do (and will) challenge the people who (for example) claim that any change in the sound which people report can only be because their ears are in a slightly different position after sitting down again after making any changes. I challenge because I know that claim is wrong and because the people saying such are actually misleading others.

I do (and will) challenge the people who (for example) claim that any adverse effect on the sound is caused by RF interference. I challenge because I know that claim is wrong – that others things than RF can have an adverse effect on the sound and because those people saying such are actually misleading others.

I do challenge you, Michael, when you claim that variable tuning is THE (meaning the one and only) Method, that it is THE answer and that it is THE truth. I challenge because I know that there are other things (many of them “fixed” tweaks) which can improve the sound.

I also challenge you when you claim that you have :-

>>> “Done the questions and got the answers” <<<

When I know that there are still many questions, sitting on a shelf, awaiting answers. You DO NOT have all the answers, Michael !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And get your facts right. I am not 90 years old. The age you quote for me alters depending on what impression you want to give of me to others !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am progressively getting older but not yet 90 !! However, I do have a wealth of experience from over 60 years in the world of audio !!

May Belt,

Check out this system

That was interesting of you, Michael, to put the link to hiend001’s system. I have been following sonic beaver’s journey on your pages but the photos of hiend001’s system is very revealing of so many of the techniques you recommend and which sonic beaver has also followed. A couple of years ago you did recommend that people visit your site and, in particular, to view sonic beavers progress.

I have no problem whatsoever with sonic beaver’s and hiend001’s journey of discovery because they are so obviously enjoying themselves – or they would not be doing what they are doing and have been doing for so long !! It looks as though Hiend001 has gone much further along the path than sonic beaver.

Now you have invited people to also view hiend001’s journey, and I also think it would be interesting if others wish to enter the debate (on this Stereophile forum) on the very photos of hiend001’s and sonic beaver’s systems which illustrate them carrying out so many of your recommendations.

Let me make myself ABSOLUTELY clear. I am not challenging it when Michael claims that any change one makes in the listening will affect the sound. So, when Michael suggests various techniques to try, I do not challenge people hearing changes in their sound. What I challenge is when he describes those techniques as THE (meaning the one and only) method, THE answer and THE truth.

Which is what he has claimed !!!!

May Belt,

Kool Aid

I'm sorry I called you. Liar, Michael. I meant to say a big fat liar. You know, in my book nothing is lower than someone who posts a lot of trash talking that someone said on the Internet. That's even worse than if you said it yourself. The only thing lower is whale shit at the bottom of the ocean. Now, if you choose to come across like you guys are under the influence of Valium or Ecstasy at The Laughing Academy. But it's not really a good look for you, you know, trying to come across as some sort of bizarre Cult not unlike the Jim Jones cult in Guyana or the one out West, what was it, the Branch Davidians? Don't drink the Kool Aid, boys and girls. Stay in school.

I actually suspect someone put you up to posting all those trash talking links. I don't think you're capable of doing it yourself.

many systems, many points of view

It's important (I feel) that the members of the Stereophile Forum can see your fellow listeners (members) coming to TuneLand and starting their tuning journeys. I hope the system threads on TuneLand helps to show that within the "Tune" there are many different and unique setups. As much as May & geoff attempt to say tuning is not "the" answer, your members are finding that tuning is indeed the umbrella for all tweaks.

My suggestion to both may & geoff is they come look and keep looking as, both on the archives and the techno-zone, have the essentials for taking listening to the next level beyond plug & play stock.

mg

May, how many times have I answered your question? Has to be over 50 by now on the Stereophile forum. For the sake of doing it again for all to see on this thread (short version this time, people can look up the many different times and ways I give the same answer). Tuning is the practical application means to adjust moving parts. We're on a moving planet controlled by Physics "fundamental interactions". I don't think anyone needs to look any further than wiki, webster, nasa or any other science schooling to see that these facts are universal.

May, this isn't about misquoting anyone, you and geoff do it with me and others all the time but I don't come up here crying about it. I think and so do hundreds of others that your comments about geoff coming here to mock (as all can see again above) and you coming here to spar or challenge or whatever else it is you do, is accurate. May you can't come here and say something and then refuse to let readers take away their own meanings. Sorry but you don't have that ability. Also let me be clear "I'm here to promote the variable tuning of audio systems". What you and geoff promote is entirely up to you. You want to say tuning isn't the only way, by all means do so, it doesn't change what thousands of listeners have found to be the truth for them, including the science references I make or any science group would make.

adjust, tune, dial, change, vary, motion, time, force, rotate, place, apply, start, settle, being....add to at will

I didn't make the rules, may, I use them. This somehow makes you and geoff upset or desire to challenge, or whatever, I don't care. I don't care that you think others are purposely misquoting you. What I do care about, is that the Stereophile members here have another choice in places to call home or an extention of this home.

May, answer me this. Based on you looking at TuneLand, why would you get the impression I wish to talk to you about music systems when I can't look at yours? Do you have any idea how many "listeners" send me system photos every day? Do you have any idea how many people ask me questions about systems every day? In the past when I ask you these types of questions you disappear, only to come back later with the same comments about fixed tweaks. Maybe if you didn't runaway, or dared to come to Jesus about your own listening and system, people wouldn't leave this forum after talking to you.

Has may & geoff not noticed that every member here they engage with (with the exception of a very few) end up leaving the forum here? I know this because they tell me and even join TuneLand to send me PM's. Look at this thread for example. Geoff is throwing a tantrum like a little baby, completely out of control. geoff & may sound like that old couple every neighborhood has. The B&C (bit** & complain) couple. Hey, if you two don't see people leaving because of you, there's nothing anyone can do for your delusional disorder but your therapist. I have spent enough of my time here being trolled by you and so have many others.

At this point as I have said before, I'm thrilled to have listeners join us. I don't want to burn up any more time here than it takes to promote TuneLand and maybe help someone here or there till trolled.

For the rest of the readers enjoy these pics of some tunable systems http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/t249-a-look-at-tunable-systems

Every member we engage with leaves the forum? Are you smoking crack? No, it's your own defenders who are leaving the forum! You know, Toledo, Ron, Costin the dude from Romania, even the dudes from Pittsburgh were not against you. You are just being paranoid. My guess is they got exhausted defending someone who's so completely obsessed with May and me he can't think straight. I don't troll anyone but you. That's because you're special. Lol

The trouble with ideas

There can be no forum, no discussion without honest debate. The trouble in Michael's case is he interprets disagreement as trolling. Or pretends to interpret it that way. Sometimes it's best to keep one's mouth shut rather remove all doubt as to the foolishness of the speaker by opening it. It's apparently Michael's new strategy to just call names and post Internet trash talk rather than display how woefully lacking he in when it comes to ideas and theory. Gentle readers, this is actually what Michael Green said of himself, that he has no interest in discussing ideas or theory. Can you believe it?! I implore you, is that the right attitude for a high end audio manufacturer? In any case, there can be no intellectually honest debate on an audio forum if someone is not being intellectually honest. And I think we know who that person is.

attitude?

MG never made the statement about theory. Just another twist the Stereophile Trolls made up. I simply quoted the definition of

"empirical: based on, concerned with, or verifiable by observation or experience rather than theory or pure logic" Oxford dictionaries

continued example "they provided considerable empirical evidence to support their argument"

synonyms: experiential · practical · heuristic · firsthand · hands-on, observed · evidence-based · seen · demonstrable

Readers may look up "emperical guy" a thread on this forum (also trolled by may & geoff).

My attitude as well as TuneLand is summed up in one word "doing". May & geoff's and all internet trolls attitudes are summed up in another quote https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28Internet%29

back to music

What I will state is, we're having a great time listening to the new Viola Chameleon Tunable Loudspeakers on my thread and others on TuneLand are having fun exploring "doing" many different systems from all over the world and sharing their adventures with the rest of us.

mini mod update

Also have a mini mod update for those of you who own them. It's taken me about a year to find the solution I've been hunting for to use on the surround edge of the woofer. After using many different recommended products we decided to mix our own. The color is black to blend with the rest of the speaker, and all you need to do is contact us (be sure to email your receipt) and we will send you the application bush and solution no charge to anywhere in the world. Mini Mod Speakers from here out will have the speaker cure applied at the factory. If you wish to have us apply it for you, we will send you a call tag for your shipping to and from N/C. This is for Mini Mod owners only.

Again thanks for being part of the "Tune"!

Those wishing to be a part of TuneLand simply come to http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/ register, and enjoy the site.

I still say pop up ads would be considerably less irritating than your long boring and boorish and unpleasant diatribes and siren calls for all good naive gullible audiophiles to come over to Pleasantville, where everything is BLACK & WHITE, where the music is non stop and the roads all stop at the edge of town. If you're so high on THEORY and IDEAS how come you posts never contain any? What's up with that? Have you completely given up? Why have you decided to forgo the PLEASANTRIES of ordinary audio forum chitter chatter and embark on this UNPLEASANT and rude voyage to nowhere? Do you really think your strange strategy of pump and dump or shit and git or whatever you call it is good for business? Are we doomed to die a death of a thousand cuts with these unpleasant yet somehow trivial posts by you and your pet monkey? Here's an IDEA, why not post on all of the major audio forums a message in icing all young, gullible and superstitious audiophiles to come on over to Pleasantville and listen to some tunes, maybe play some bongos.

"The Daily Troll"

Well I've decided to start refering to geoff's visits on this thread as "The Daily Troll".

Back to the OP though. More Stereophile members joined TuneLand this weekend and others from here sent me room & system pics, thanks! I always look forward to the new weekly system tunes. Glad you guys are feeling comfortable on TuneLand and thanks to Stereophile for letting us promote "TuneLand" here. In time I hope the relationship between the forums can get more involved in listening together, but I understand the situation happening here with geoff (internet audio trolls).

Also wanted to mention how cool it is that some of the audiophile clubs are exploring the tune and sharing ideas. http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/t169p240-hiend001-s-system#7014

have a great day of listening, and sorry for the trolling that geoff & may supply here, maybe stereophile will do something about the internet trolling.....maybe.....someday.....if it's not too much trouble.....before your reputation here is completely destroyed

exciting times!

I'm having a blast this week as the spring time building plans (US) are starting to roll in.

For those who are reading, we do many room plans every year for those designing and building their listening rooms. This year looks to be a more than normal number of listeners moving to the next level of environment control and I'm excited when audiophiles take that next step in listening.

We also have designs going on in several countries currently so if you are thinking about having your room re-done, converted or start-up feel free to give us a shout.

the MGA Chameleon System

Yesterday we played on the Chameleon System, which will be talked much about on TuneLand. It's the first system in high end audio where the room and speakers are design and built as one unit. The Tunable Room has been around for over 25 years and the MGA speakers have been made tunable as well, ranging from 5" two ways through 8" two ways + subs. For the last 10 years I've been working on the refinements that bring speakers even closer to the harmonics of musical instruments. In doing so some of the highest of high end clients have asked me to design the perfect Room/Speaker interface. Of course my answer to this is to use Vibrations not destroy them. As a result these Listening Systems are able to deliver more detail, harmonic expansion, dynamic range and spacial staging over any previous system design. A different experience than placing a speaker in a living room hoping for the best, the Tunable system allows the listener to go as far as they wish while exploring a piece of music or doing a one sound fits all type of sound. The goal is a simple one, take the main ingredient of music "vibration" and tune it.

One by five :) listeners come to TuneLand and stick their toe in the water to find that there is another hobby inside of this hobby of listening. A hobby that goes to the next step in listening, a step beyond plug & play and fixed tweaks. Tuning gets to the heart of the matter of extreme audiophile listening and no matter how many off-shoots in other directions happen the "tune" is able to be applied.

Come to TuneLand and read how & why this works, but more important, read others tuning adventures. On TuneLand you don't hear hypotheticals, you hear actual listening results in real time.

It's exciting to watch the members here show up and become a part of the next step.

Also read the reports on tunees exploring digital.

case & point, the Stereophile graveyard

Three days ago while talking to an audio reviewer friend, the point was brought up about what has happened to the Stereophile forum. I told him for the sake of demostrating watch what happens when I don't come to the forum for 3 days. This morning I get a call "you were right" he says "Stereophile is a graveyard".

We talked for a few minutes, laughing mostly, about how the internet trolls have scared the audiophiles away for the most part, along with people giving advice based on only able to quote reviews instead of having actual experience with the systems, topics and theories they "talk" about.

A huge difference between a listening forum such as TuneLand and a trolled forum such as Stereophile. I would go on about our conversation but we've got a house full of listening to do today, and I'm behind in my posting on TuneLand.

A trolling we will go

Anyone here not see the irony of someone who's a major contributor here, I.e., your humble scribe, you know someone who actually starts discussions on many and varied topics and whose thread which - another irony - was started by Mr. Greed in some sort of I'll conceived plan to attack May Belt and you guessed it - me - personally with all manner of trash talk he gathered from the Internet who knows how, now surpasses 35,000 views being called a troll by Michael Green who, it should be pointed out, stopped being a real contributor here two years ago when he self inflicted a gun shot to his head by deciding it would be more productive going after yours truly and May Belt with a vengeance. I know, right. I implore you, gentle readers, is that fair? Is that honest? Is that stupid? The only thing Mr. Greed posts here is the same stupid calls to "hey, dudes, come on over to my web site and hang out with" some what appears be a lot of lonesome pro audio guys. Or lonesome cowboys, who knows? Why, heck, The TombLand web site doesn't even work so how can anyone go there even if they wanted to? Dude...
