Morphic Housekeeping 101 - Bar Code Labels

And let me agree that most objects in the house are marked with bar codes (and to paraphrase Pink Floyd: "And everyday the paperboy brings more").
How on Earth do you think I can get rid of them - I must literally have thousands of objects with some of them being unmovable (think 60" plasma, refrigerator and air conditioners). Just scrapping the bar code off batteries might take a couple of days, but then almost everything in my shopping bag carries a bar code. Would have to hire a full-time "bar code remover" to keep pace ;)

You've just pointed to the depth of the problem. I didn't say it was easy. That's why I titled this post Morphic Housekeeping 101. You're right, every time you bring something into the house, a newspaper, a bag of groceries, a new book, magazine, INCLUDING ANY BAR CODES THEY MIGHT HAVE ON THEM, you're adding additional problems. But my method of covering Bar Codes with messages printed in red ink on return address labels works well and doesn't require deep pockets or great effort. It's then only matter of how far one wishes to go with this. Once you do what about a hundred bar codes you will start to see the effects show up. What could be easier? But you and I both know audiophiles will go to great lengths chasing the Dragon in both time and expense, right? This you can do standing on your head.

Sidebar - some Feng Shui masters are now convinced that the whole Feng Shui thing is actually based on eliminating BAD information fields and why Feng Shui proposes, among other things, the throwing away of old newspapers, trash, I.e., clutter. Feng Shui might be very old but it is just recently catching up on Morohic Housekeeping.

What about the barcode I have tattoed on the back of my neck!

I'm totally serious.

But meant this post as humorous.

Back to topic - interesting idea -

Morphic resonance does not decay with distance and cannot be shielded against. So what would be the use to start scrapping or covering the bar codes when I'm surrounded by dozens of neighbors hosting zillions of bar coded items?

When you treat the barcodes in your house you effectively break the linkage between the barcodes in your house and the big global field. And by breaking the link with the outside field you effectively eliminate it's influence or reduce its effects anyway. When I said the doesn't decay over distance I mean that the strength of the global information field is the same everywhere, unlike say a magnetic field or an electric field that attenuate over distance rather rapidly. Thus it doesn't matter how many untreated Bar Codes your neighbors have or your local Target store or supermarket. We're only worried about how many untreated bar codes are in your house that are bringing the various fields into the house as interlopers so to speak. A barcode identifies the thing it's attached to, so the field strength is determined by how many of that particular thing there are in the world.

Why not just tune your system?

BTW hello to Costin, good to see you back! I would imagine you and Ron will have some nice talks.

I know you guys have got to be sick of hearing this, but why do audiophiles insist on taking the long way around all the time? It's like this comedy quiz show where the answer is sitting right there and the contestants keep creating all these answers only to find more questions.

If I may join in. Every content in your house is a beacon of and for energy. All these things you are doing add up to frequencies and values and volumes that either have an effect on your system or your body or both. You can go through practically anything in your dissipative environment and over charge or under charge the forms of energy you have. I've done a ton of these but here's one that was fun. I was traveling and stopped by a friends house that has a huge LP collection that he keeps in the next room beside his listening room. He organized this room inbetween our visits. Once in a while we would talk and he would tell me about his system. Man you got to stop by cause the sound sucks. When I got there and heard the system it was clear that the energy was out of balance so I went and looked around. Half his LP collection was moved from boxes to these newly installed metal shelves. LOL You could feel how different the energy was, and follow it into the room with you. We not only changed the shelving but also the color sceme and texture of paint in that room. Not his listening room the room next door with the lp's.

energy comes in many forms, think about when you have felt it

Another one was a guy who shared his passion with his wife's. He had his system setup in one room and besides was his wife's room who collected fine porcelain figurines. He was having a real problem till I started asking about his house. When he told me about his wife, I told him to ask her if she would move around some of the figurines while he listened, LOL.

What I'm saying is, it's not the bar codes completely, but the organization of energies in your environment that is putting our systems with any particular recordings in or out of tune. Think about the dissipative range of your system and how far it reaches, a lot further than you think. Any more it's like having a hamm operator next door, but try to think more balance than always removal. Don't want to knock the bar codes but now what do you do about the sound of the labels? Fact is your replacing one set of frequencies with another. not saying the fix is worse just saying it's different. For example I have a friend right this second who has done the stricker thing and over did it to the point where his system now sounds (according to him) "plastic".

Here's what I do. Same basic idea but with a twist. I try to organize the energy so it doesn't collect necessarily in pockets that I become aware of when listening. Basically everything is a receiver and transmitter both. Pottery and tile one sound, wood another, electrical outlets, again and every thing that has a code. Fact is everything has a vibratory code, been saying that here for a long time and it's cool if you take it one step at a time but it's all going to come around the mountain slow or your going to get it faster. Everything affects everything else, and when you start to identify which things are doing what and how much, then you can master them. Whether it's a bar code or drinking glasses you leave around the house. Once you start getting in the zone your going to start tuning, and after a while when your listening your going to say (as costin did a while back) I can move these CD's and produce this sound or loosen my drivers and get that. We're all living in one big musical instrument and there are thousands of ways to tune it.

While I'm at it, without sounding too mystical. Sorry geoff don't mean to butt in as I don't like to do on your threads and I'll back away from this one as well but. Be a little careful with color charting. Take the time to study the colors and shades your about to use. Not hard to find color charts and your specific response charts.

for example watch how you use red

Being surrounded by too much of the color red can cause us to become irritated, agitated and ultimately angry. Too little and we become cautious, manipulative and fearful. At the same time red is a great color.

This may seem a little weird as I said but I recommend if your going to head down this avenue you might as well study the basics

here's a simple link, not too heavy

http://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/meaning-of-colors.html

Everyone who has every done a color reading on me has said my fundamental is purple. And what I found interesting is when using colors for listening it's surprising how much you desire your color and even push your color as it reflex who you are onto others. The different colors also favor different types of listening within the musical timbre structure. What's very interesting is getting use to someones writing or talking with them and then have their color read to see how it fits their views.

have fun

Can I still post on this thread geoff, it's one of my favorite audio & life topics?

Michael, but we already have a thread on color. But if you're so hell bent on the topic of color why don't you bump up that thread or start a new thread, maybe call it how certain colors like red make me mad as heck? This is a rhetorical question only, no need to give me another one of your very enjoyable tutorials and sneak a link to ToonLand in. Lol

I am intending on removing every scrap of equipment and furniture from my home office, and introducing first just my speakers, stands, cabling, DAC, and digital source (Macbook Air).....and listening chair.

Nothing else.

With a door I can close, and this room is at the back of the home with the roof overheard, would this not be an isolation chamber of sorts and eliminate the need to remove unwanted items from the rest of my home? I am thinking yes... this would be a very efficient and optimal way to go about eliminating unwanted frequencies/harmonics/etc... instead of modifying the entire house around the system, why not merely move the system into an isolated, dedicated room in the house?

Respectfully,

Ron

I say explore them all. The coolest thing about this hobby is the act of "doing". To go one step further, some day down the road when you got a few laps under your belt, have your system in that room in the back and the space you have now. Having two systems is like having two brains.

I don't know if you saw this on any of my threads, but I've had places that had a couple playback rooms and a studio all at my place. Talk about learning the audio pathway, that is a trip. One thing that I did want to say about moving the system is don't forget, everything comes back to the same circuit box. You'll be changing your acoustic dimension but if it's in the same house it will have things built into the sound regardless. Your house has both waves and tone to it, that is unique to it.

I think Michael was just trying to add to my original statement...though veering off topic, I am certain his intentions were kind and to add value.

Normally I wouldn't interject with emotional errata, but due to the somewhat turbulent climate at least over on my thread I felt some "peace keeping" measures are warranted; as well as saying regardless of topic, I concur with yours *and* Michael's ideas here and most anywhere else from what I have read. And for the few times I disagree, everyone knows by now I say what's on my mind in the hopes of improving the debate; sometimes though having opposite effect!

Just everyone please keep up the good information and impart your wisdom. We each add our unique experiences, knowledge, and wisdom gained. The more the merrier.

From my musician customer:

"I got the sheets of labels and stuck about 280 labels all over the house, on bar codes mostly but also on other things like logos and even objects that did not have either bar codes or logos, things like light bulbs, appliances and electronic devices, I.e., computers, cell phone, also on mirrors, glass windows. Immediately without any doubt the sound quality was spectacular, especially in terms of AIR and realism. On percussive things such as maracas I could hear the inner nuances in great detail, in it's own space and with plenty of AIR. And MUCH lower distortion. Totally. Send more sheets of labels and hurry! I am thinking of the IMPLICATIONS OF THIS!"

So you discovered a way to "neutralize" a cell phone from 10,000 miles away and you're not yet filthy rich (or buried deeply in an unmarked spot in Area 51)? Now think what the NSA could do with this... and we mere mortals can get it for just a few dollars. So you are manipulating the phone that takes the call, not the audio system proper. Now God forbid I call you from my mother-in-law's phone, your freaking tweak would be useless. BTW, are you using the same clicks and beeps for both Android and iOS devices?

I have been remiss in not mentioning the connection between my whole Morphic Message Label enterprise and the Belts' Red X Pen. The Red X Pen of course being the original pen designed for writing Morphic messages See photo below. There is also a PWB product called Gold Message Foil that is sold for writing Morphic messages that is more powerful than clear labels. The advantage to my method of course is the capability to print great numbers of messages inexpensively on a color printer, as well as effectiveness.

You mean a standard red pen manufactured in Germany with an additional label on it? Yeah for sure it was "designed for writing morphic messages" (ask the manufacturer if he ever heard of those). So "quantum" my ass!
