Essence of Music CD Treatment

OK, let's come back down to Earth for a second, here, and talk about my latest acquisition. No, it's not a new car. It's not a new power cord. It's not even a new Schumann frequency generator. Lol. It's Essence of Music! Essence of Music is the latest and (maybe) greatest CD treatment to hit the market since Liquid Resolution, Jena Labs and Nanotech 8500, the last three being very very good, perhaps on top of CD treatment food chain in the opinion of your humble scribe, outperforming such noteworthy warhorses as Clarity, Optirx, Auric Illuminator (blue), Shinola, and the liquids, gels and pastes from Walker, Mapleshade, etc. So, what is Essence of Music? It's a two step treatment for the data side of the CD. The CD is sprayed and the liquid rubbed either by naked finger or the little "finger condoms" provided. Then the CD is buffed after the second spray, which mixes with the first into a nice froth. A sheet of very cool ESSENCE of Music labels are provided so you won't loose track of discs have been treated, which you definitely don't want to do since this stuff is a bit on the expensive side. With good material like The Doors' Morrison Hotel, the remastered CD by Botnick, Rothchild and The Doors the soundstage opens up and everything is more focused and transparent. Much more entertaining and correct sounding. A must for ripping and burning obviously.

I have heard about the Jena Labs product and it is good to read about this Essence bettering so many "cleaners".

How long have you been using this product?

Ease of use

Hi, Allen, it's a two step system, with two spray bottles. But so was Liquid Resoltuion, my previous CD treatment. Not too bad, though, two minutes per CD if you're the type who follows instructions to the T. I was forced to look around for a new treatment as the manufacturer of LR passed away last year. I am not the type to tolerate untreated CDs very well. ;-)

many Thanks! GK.

many Thanks! GK.

I know, it seems just as we get accustomed to a great product or piece of gear, inadvertently, it goes away/some one takes it away from us!

I buy a ton of used CDs, some are in excellent shape, while others may have a minor scratch or two.

I probably don't need to say that EOM is for new or used CDs.
