The unique tweeter used in many of the Anthony Gallo speakers has an exceptionally wide dispersion, which can be desirable in many listening environments.

The Gallo CDT is a pretty good wide-angle tweeter... Only works above 6KHz, though (it's a curved piezo film):

According to the manual of the Gallo Classico CL3 speaker (which I used to own), the CDT operates from 3KHZ to 22 KHZ, and has a 180 degree dispersion!

The Gallo CDT tweeter as used in the Strada2 speaker only operates above 6KHz according to the Gallo website.

It's possible that the CDT tweeter could start rolling-in at 3KHz as used in the Classico CL3, but it would not be at full level until around 6KHz since it's a piezo film, which inherently doesn't go very low...

The Wide-Range, Wide-Angle Driver operates from around 250Hz up to 20+KHz, at up to 360 degrees of uniform horizontal dispersion at all frequencies, and in vertical dispersion it has the same directivity as a conventional 1" dome tweeter.

Has anyone seen any measurements of the Gallo CTD tweeter...?

Interesting to see that the patent-pending technology might be in use in Vietnam... There does not seem to be a photo of anything that looks like the device on the referenced website, however... Is there an English version of the website?

In regard to the horizontal and vertical dispersion of high frequencies in a real, untreated listening room, do most people prefer 180-degrees of uniform coverage, 360-degrees of uniform coverage, or some other uniform coverage angle?

Thanks for posting that, ejchr2. I saw some discussion of that in the Audio Voice about two months ago. Basically, an AMT wrapped into a cylinder.

The construction looks complex and expensive. I think you could get about the same performance from a set of long-excursion 1" (ish) dia drivers in a cylindrical array, and probably at much lower cost.

An array of 1" speakers will project beams at high frequencies, say above 12 kHz or so, and may present lobe-ing effects and interference from the multiple drivers at a given listening position.

To hear this new 'curved AMT' technology for yourself, please visit the Arya Audio Labs demo at the 2019 Munich High-End Show next week, Hall #1, booth number D02... Arthur Marker of Arya will be demonstrating the 'AirBlade' 180-degree tweeter, and he will also present a technical paper on the subject at 2PM on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Munich Show - Room K2A - Foyer Hall 1...

Curious if someone could share an anechoic measurement, somewhere in the horizontal plane of the 360-deg driver, a spectral decay plot, or IR, or frequency-response, unsmoothed? And, distortion at a reasonable output level, say about 95dB at 1m?
