The NAD is a much better unit if you ask me.

What sort of application do you think you will have for 192?

I'll bet you have no idea what that is even used for.

The difference in the DAC is of no practical imprtance at all.

They are both easily able to do what you want.

I use the NHT B12D woofer, and it is a really great unit for only $800.

It is also relatively compact and comes in a wonderful piano black box.

Right.....about the 192. That's why I asked. Maybe an explintion? I'm a tad bit lost. The way I see it is if there's a higher resolution, wouldn't it be better? However, I'm guessing it wouldnt be noticable since most of the FLAC files I have are 16 bit 44.1 kHz. The 390DD model has the same DAC but I read an article where the writer said you'll be able to upgrade the card. Maybe it's the same with the 375DAC. Any thoughts on that? By the way, I would say 98% of the music I listen to is in some sort of file format. CD's have sort of faded out of the picture. I simply want the best sound from these files.......even the shitty Mp3's that my wife downloads.

Thanks for the comment! I am learing toward the NAD. It seems I can to more with it and it's a bit more powerful.

If you don't have hi rez files (which are usually 24/96 and 24/192) then there's no reason to concern yourself about it. Unless you download hi Rez tracks in the future...

True. I think I've come to the conclution I'll go for the NAD, and if I have to, get an externam DAC later.

Now the CM5's or the Studio 20's!?!? Ha.

I can't be the only persom who goes through this.

I think you'll be very happy with the NAD amp. There are plenty of external DACs available at various price levels when you feel a need to upgrade, and they are improving all the time.

Just now! I FINALLY pulled the trigger. BUT, I didn't get either of the above units! I went for the Peachtree220 and the NovaPre. It was on sale and was about the same price as both of the others! Sweet! Now I wait........
