Really John Jason?? How about anyone who actually has to pay for their equipment? And I think that applies to spending lots, or spending a little. Is Mikey using a $4300 phono stage with his Caliburn?
That said, it's apparently a sales-y manipulation to make the Zesto look sound better. In my mind a reasonable budget for a $2K table/cart combo would be ~$1K - $2K where there are lots of options that should better the Lehmann.
