microStreamer is a USB-connected and powered ultra high-performance dedicated  amplifier/sound card designed to seamlessly interface with computers, tablets, smart-phones and directly decode the digital audio data stream from the host’s hard drive into analog music for headphone or speaker listening. When music is digitized, it is ‘compressed’ into a digital format of ones and zeros – the job of decompressing the music and turning the ones and zeros back into sound is usually done by a computer but because computers are built to do a lot of things, sound is not their top priority. Cheap sound cards are used to keep prices down so the music you hear coming out of your computer is not complete – there is a loss of sound.  microStreamer was developed to reverse this loss of sound.  It takes over the job of processing and decoding the music from your computer – so you end up with sound as it was meant to be heard – clean, clear, loud and present. 

The microStreamer was made for anyone who wants better sound coming out of their computer.  It can be used for music, movies or games.  The microStreamer will bring the listener a more full, present and inside experience.

Its cool that a company can be so diverse as to enter into the Formula One championship, AND make audio components!

It looks like theyve pulled out of F1 to concentrate on audio.....prob a good choice ;)

Although, Ferrari does 'make' headphones....

Has anyone heard one or used on?  On paper this looks like a great little DAC.  I must admit though I was fairly under whelmed by the Audioquest Dragonfly that I borrowed from a friend.  It seemed noisy.  At first I thought it was my computer but I have a really nice Alienware that has never once given me a moment for pause.  I was just as happy with the sound coming from the headphone jack on it than I was the little DAC.  The Microstreamer may just be the right one.

Do you look for unintentionally duplicate entries before the drawing, and would one be disqualifying? (It would be the same moniker/registration.)

I would be happy just to be able to borrow this and return it after a few days, as I have never had the opportunity to experience how much or how well a DAC improves the sound.  Getting a DAC for myself is on my "wish list" so being able to try one out would at least get me started in the right direction on what kind or type DAC I should get.

I've listened to the HRT MicroStreamer on a few occasions and it is a fantastic device with killer sound and second to none ergodynamics.  I would LOVE to get my hands on one.  Please let me be lucky today.
