I think I speak for everyone here when I say I feel sorry for you.  You are one pathetic human being.  Mods, how exactly does his post not qualify for the Dead Zone (this is where offensive, cruel, disrespectful and otherwise inappropriate posts are sent to die) or outright deletion?

will not delete as this is the "open bar" -- a place of fairly open discussion

but Lamont, I would appreciate it if you could be a little less obtuse here: what exactly are you trying to saying (without the political poetry)?

from what I gather, are you saying that Boston deserved/was asking for the attack?

I didn't say Boston deserved this and enough time has come forward for you Constitutions burners to see that the rest of America really doesn't give a shit what happened in Boston.  I stated that Boston and other cities like it have been begging for this to happen with their own stupidity.  There are no flag waivers across America this time around because the vast majority of people in New England and other certain major metropolises and boundaries have been shitting on the Constitution since they got that nimrod in the White House.  I'm saying, in spite of what our President is saying, that this is political and personal.  Thus, I will say it again.  I don't consider an attack on Boston an attack on the United States of America.  I consider it a coincidental attack on a population that just so happens to be shitting on the Constitutional rights of the majority of our citizens.  Liberals are turning America into politically ethnic and social boundaries no different than Southeast Europe.  Some of you idiots may need to look at a map to even figure out what I'm referring to.  Or perhaps read some history books.  Look up the aftermath of Hitler's Empire in Eastern Europe as well as Southeastern Europe.  You motherfuckers are asking for just that sort of mentality and life and you don't even fucking know it.  Thus, nobody really gives a shit about Boston.  It has less significance than a full commercial airliner going down due to pilot error.  So, what is next motherfuckers?  A ban on pressure cookers manufactured in China?  Only stupid country folk want pressure cookers.  I thought I made myself clear enough in the original post.

You might want to rethink that.  You can't have an open discussion with people whose only purpose is posting hateful, nonsensical drivel.  Ever wonder why this subforum looks like an echo chamber?

I did not fully understand what you were saying before, and now I understand.

I fail to see the connection between the justification of the murdering of innocent people as a result of their political beliefs. Regardless of what you feel about how they feel about the constitution or what you think it's doing to our country, there is no justification for what was done to them.

So, the "Boston deserved it" attitude is not welcome here: nobody deserves to die. (and I have my argument against the death penalty as well).

I am curious as to what you're saying by this: "Look up the aftermath of Hitler's Empire in Eastern Europe as well as Southeastern Europe."

(I couldn't find any quick links)

and how it relates to us now?

Please read my second post.  I specifically said that Boston didn't "deserve" it.   And yes it is relevant to the political atmosphere in this country that was started by the Consitution burners.  The country is not giving the same support to the Boston attack as the 911 attack because of internal political and personal conflicts.  It is what it is but as usual you idiots look at everything with blinders on.  Read what I write and don't make assumptions.  There are no assumptions in my post.  Do you want a real world example?  Consider your every day street bombing in Iraq today on lets say Group A.  It kills and maims a shitload of of innocent people associated with Group A.  Group B claims responsibility and is an enemy of Group A and C.  Group C in a neighboring province doesn't like Group A because Group A bans Group C from filling good paying jobs..  Do you really think Group C is going to give a shit about the bombing on Group A?  I don't think so.  This is where I am coming from.  And for the nimrod with no posts.  It is not about hatred.  It is about stupid people that bring this sort of shit on themselves and expecting the entire country to symphathize with them.  Seems to me there is a pattern here.  Liberals get attacked and expect the entire country to support them.  At the same time liberals are taking a shit on the Constitution and pissing off a lot of people.  So, I'm supposed to waive the flag and say, "God Bless America"?  I don't think so.  Like I stated in the original post.  As far as I'm concerned Boston is on its own.   You can't have your cake and eat it too.  Liberals made their bed and now they have to sleep on it.  There will be no nationwide popular support like we saw after 911.

As for your unbelieavable ability to not know anything about Southeast Europe you should look up the Balkans.

In 2013, as a nation, most Americans have become complacent since 9-11. Obama has no frame of reference to this fact.

Every day, more than ever, WE MUST NEVER FORGET!

I would appreciate it if you were not so angry/condescending. I am not a liberal (or a conservative). I am not Obama. I'm just a dude.

I never claimed any sort of authority, and I more just trying to interpret your statements. I'm sorry that you feel you have to be such a prick about the whole thing because you could be making a good case, but it's going over my head because your passion is overriding your content.

I will look up the Balkans because I am unfamiliar. Not b/c of my "unbelievable ability not to know anything" --  you can show some respect and not understand that not everyone knows everything about everything, and in fact, a decent human being will admit when they do not know.

have do to with innocent people running a marathon and being murdered? I don't see any opposing political factions: just terrorists (hypothetically) and people running a race. This is still going over my head.

"pissing off a lot a people"

pissing of who? you? 50% of people? "a lot of people" is a very vague term and still to me doesn't justify anyone showing them a lack of support.

i also think the response has been a little quieter because this attack was less damaging than 911 (thousands dead vs. 3)

what you are talking about are people's attitudes (I believe) towards terrorism, and I just wonder what you feel would be the alternate? what the ideal world have been rather than the current situation had the bombing still happened?

Whether the murderers are American or our common enemy from abroad they are taking advantage of our differences to "win the hearts and minds" of certain demographics in America.  It doesn't mean I'm wrong.  It doesn't mean our enemy has achieved that goal.  But they have certainly put a crack in it for certain demographics to take advantage of and use against the opposition.  From our enemy's perspective this is a win-win type of attack.  It shows in the criticism of our current administration failure to rally America to the cause and brings out the disunity in this country due to our inability to compromise and our desire shit on each others' lawns.  The first thing to blame is the media. They sensationalize everything.  They stir the shit up.  Without the media there would have been absolutely no support for the anti-gun laws that failed to pass only to setup the survivor's of the dead to even more heartache.  Without the media there would have been no constitutional violations of privacy against gun owners, which only achieved lawsuits based on constitutional rights written in black and white.  All of which just happen to come out of the East Coast demographics.  The upper East Coast is a war zone.  It is a place our common enemy has chose to attack.  Our enemy is not stupid.  Go after the demographical area that is instigating the most controversy with the rest of America and the rest of America will turn their backs.  If liberals want the rest of America to support them they need to stop their constant and continual attacks on the constitutional rights they just so happen to disagree with with no legal basis, which makes it a personal problem only.  The Constitution is what it is.  You cannot change it or read between the lines to get your way at the expense of others.  The liberals' opportunity cost for their attacks on the constitution is the loss of support from the rest of America during times of national security.  As a result, from Virginia to Massachusetts, has become the liberals' war zone.  Not mine.  This part of the East Coast has become the new symbolic Bosnia.  The only thing that saved Bosnia was the United Nations.  Perhaps this liberal demographic war zone can put in a request for security with them .  Good luck.

You're an idiot.  The attack on Boston has nothing to do with gun control (which by the way the vast majority of Americans support), and the East Coast is not a war zone.  Your moronic fantasies are nothing but yours, you're delusional if you think otherwise.

Castamere is correct: this attack has nothing to do with "gun ownership" laws so I feel you're letting your personal opinions about a current political topic seep in. Maybe you are just using it as an example, but i think you're using it more as a platform here. ie we're getting attacked b/c liberals are speaking up. and I also feel that gun control laws may have wider support than you think Lamont -- you are not the country. neither am I. but little kids dieing across the country b/c they pick up daddy's rifle or some madman storming a movie theater with artillery he bought online sure is "the country"

there's no sensationalizing there -- that shit happen(s)(ed)

but I do find Lamont's point interesting:

"It is a part of classic insurgency warfare"

utilizing an idealogically split/maybe even (admittedly) "patriotically" weakened country as a launching pad for further idealogical divisions / lack of support -- again, I'm not sure if this is the case, but I can see where you are coming from. I don't think you should castigate/turn your back on Boston and New York b/c soon the enemy will be at your front door as well.

i also believe law enforcement/governing bodies/military will continue to do their job -- as we're seeing right now in Boston; the police/military are on the prowl and quickly.

if these attacks continue (as they might), then we may just understand and start living in a higher security enforced state. we will have to continue living our lives without fear, but a war on terrorism is a tough one to be fought, i believe primarily fought using intelligence (many attacks have been prevented here in NYC already).

It has to do with "gun ownership" when you idiots attack my constitutional rights and then you idiots get attacked.  In other words, I don't give a shit your region is under attack because what have you done for me lately?  More importantly, what have you idiots done for yourselves lately?  The entire city of Boston was put on restriction today.  It's like a mass population of children.

Again,  notice how these motherfuckers choose you motherfuckers to attack.  It is always you motherfuckers they go after.  And when they are not attacking your region you motherfuckers come after my rights.  So, fuck you.  I don't see how much easier I can write this so you stupid ass fucking faggots can understand.

How do you like me now?  :)

BTW, nice job letting the motherfucker get away and shutting down an entire city the size of Boston.  This sort of shit doesn't happen in the regions of America you hate.  I wonder why?  I couldn't stop laughing when I got off work today and saw what a fucking mess the police turned Boston into.  Welcome to martial law, motherfuckers.  It's all your's.  You can have it.  It is no wonder they choose y'all for targets.  It is a no fucking brainer.  Even a caveman can figure this out.

And tomorrow you idiots will be right back blaming everybody but the fucking "victim" they arrested this evening. Yes, in your world he will become a victim too.  What a fucked up fucking joke your part of the country has become.  I hope this whole thing  upset your entire week.  Because next week you will forget but I won't.  That is pathetic.  The most I can hope for is this upset your self-centered selfish week.  How hard this must be on you idiots.  It must be really distressing this week.

And just so you don't get your panties in a ruffle when I write "you" it is not "you" personally.  It is your fucked up collective mindset in your region that you allow to be attacked time and time again.  I'm sick of this shit and I'm sick of you motherfuckers.

But as long as I have a platform here I will keep reminding you how y'all are alienating yourselves from the rest of the nation.  I think y'all need to get your shit together and stop forcing yourselves to be attacked like this.  It is almost embarrassing to watch.  But don't get the impression i feel sorry for y'all.

Y'all invite these motherfuckers to your region and then they attack you.  Over and over again and it will come again because you don't learn from your mistakes.  No wonder the police treat your population like children.  You act like it.  You deserve to be grounded when criminals have used your own welcoming mat as a means to get to you.  You deserve militarized police to openly search your house.  You are incapable of protecting yourselves and your own property.  You have become the weak.  Only the strong survive.  I cite your own bible, "Darwin's Theory of Evolution".

His crime?  "Get the fuck out of my house you let the cat out, great!  Thanks for nothing."  This guy is obviously a minority in your region.  This guy I feel sorry for.  And to add to this poor motherfuckers problems the police ran over his cat.

Lamont: maybe they go to densely populated areas b/c they can cause more damage and also there are probably more "terrorist-leaning" people in these parts (more immigrants in NE). I don't think it has anything to do with the political beliefs of a region.

Nope, our common enemy considers your region a Mecca on American thought, which they hate.  Not to mention you guys are an easy target based on just plain lack of common sense.  Example, how did they get close enough to the police to throw a pressure cooker at them?  I would be embarrassed.  “Yeah, the guy just ran up and threw a pressure cooker at us.”  It is like a scene out the Roadrunner cartoons.  How two combatants won a firefight, tied down 5,000 law enforcement officials, paralyzed a city, and let one get away.  The police are not the ones that found the survivor.   They don’t get much credit at all for the entire thing.  It wasn’t their equipment that identified the guys.  It was a clothing store’s security camera.  Putting the images on TV and the Internet prompted them to assassinate an MIT cop and seriously wound another cop and basically win a firefight against the police.  Everything after the marathon bombings was a running battle with police.  The police lost.  And the danger is not over yet.  It is what it is.  In about one week if nothing else happens the voting base in that region will come after us again and lose even more support with the American People.  Y'all just lost a serius blow in the Senate and probably will again on the current budget crisis. Like I mentioned before.  You people ain't too smart.

"our common enemy considers your region a Mecca on American thought"

This makes sense.

" It was a clothing store’s security camera. "

So this raises the important question: do we need to start reconsidering how seriously we take our anti-terrorism security in this country? ie take cues from folks who are used to this (israel) or continue trusting the NYPD, Boston POlice Dept, etc. with what they do already. you make a good point didn't necessarily handle this last situation with grace.

like allen said before: "never forget" -- how seriously do we as a country need to consider amping the level of daily surveillance and security in our country? and what does that mean for our rights as Americans?

What this country needs to do is stay away from Roe vs. Wade, and the 2nd Amendment and knock off these political maneuvering on topics that have a direct bearing on our national security.  Topics like our economy and immigration.  All have to do with our common national security.  A house divided cannot stand.  I wish people would think of the opportunity cost of their actions.  We cannot afford to fight over the 2nd Amendment.  We cannot afford to fight over gay marriage.  We cannot afford to fight over abortion.   These are all distractions that divide us and leave us exposed and vulnerable.  Anyone with leadership qualities would tell the nation these things.   This is why we have an Executive Branch.  For leadership.  We have not experienced true, faithful, and strong leadership since Reagan and I hated that man when I was young.  Kennedy would have been a great leader but he was killed before he had a chance.  Next, comes FDR and Wilson.  We have to go back to Lincoln to find the next one.  Before Lincoln there is only Washington himself.  So, I would hope your generation at least gets a fighting chance to experience true leadership that keeps a country united for the cause and the duration.  My advise to young people is don't become a card carrying member of the Democratic Party or the GOP.  Neither have our common interests and are locked into "group think" that they will never be free from.  I suggest to seek out of the many different independent parties out there.  I was brought up as a Yellow Dog Democrat.  I voted as such for 22 years.  I became a Republican for six years.  Then I realized both major parties are full of shit and can care less what one part of the country thinks over the other.  We now have states fighting each other.  When was the last time we saw that?  During two of the worst times in our history; Civil Rights and Civil War, the former being a direct action to enforce the outcome of the latter.  Castrated called me a dinosaur.  The Democratic Party and the GOP are the dinosaurs.  Today I am a member of the Modern Whig Party and I promote that if the younger generation ever hope to see a true leader that will lead this country they should abandon them and find an independent party that fits their own political platform and most importantly their own beliefs.  You know things are fucked up when an asshole like me has to put into writing what our leadership should be telling us.  And that is never going to happen with these two parties.  They are dead in the water and are the direct cause of all this fucked up hatred from within.  I actually do feel  for you people in the Northeast but I cannot support you until we come together and stop fucking with each others' freedom.  "I'm no monument to justice".

national security > social reform?

or

social reform easier to rectify if people realized it was insignificant compared to national security, trade laws, immigration, etc. -- ie just move on with our lives rather than wasting our time.

still don't agree about 2nd Ammendment. gun control is an issue in our country. that law was created when guns could barely puncture the skin. but i'd rather this not be the focus of our conversation. I don't think it is relevant.

This is a discussion (I think) of how seriously we should be taking our national security and what resources and rights should be analyzed as a result.

social reform is easier for the public to pick a side, probably why it recieves so much attention. ask someone who they feel about import taxes, and the answer is probably a little less impassioned.

Before you can move on you need to understand that the Pennsylvania/Kentucky  Long Rifle, which won the American Revolution, would shoot a .50 caliber lead ball with a muzzle velocity up to 1600 fps.  That would blow your head smooth off at two hundred yards.  Two hundreds yards just happens to be the average large game range most hunters achieve today.  Ironically, the deadly black powder pistol duels were within 25 yards during the time of the Constitution and most exchanges in self defense with the use of a pistol today are within 25 FEET!!!   So, this is what scares me and adds credence to my caution.  Most people, in my experience, that are anti-gun don't know shit.  And with that you are still missing my point.  If you continue with the contempt prior to investigation your region is only going to lose support each and every time your region is attacked by our enemy.  Your region can't fight a war and have it's cake too.

“The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.”  --Thomas Jefferson

President Jefferson considered the arms of his time as lethal and needed to protect ourselves from tyranny.  I guess you are thinking nobody wanted to get hit with the equivalent of a paint ball gun?

"Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence … from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurrences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable … the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference — they deserve a place of honor with all that's good."
George Washington

President Washington is not saying only the police should have arms.  He is saying outright they are as important as the Constitution.  To ensure that the Constitution is protected.  Maybe from folks like in the states that are under attack because while they are not under attack they are attacking the Constitution.  Again, one more reason your region is not going to get any respect until you get your shit together or some radical idiot blows your balls off.

Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?"
Patrick Henry

And another Founding Father making it crystal clear.  This is the one I want the Boston Metro police to wipe their asses with until they understand it too.  If they had come to my home dressed in full combat gear and asked to come in without a warrant I would have told them,  "I'm armed and I cleared my own home.  Now get the fuck off my property!"

But we can have a gun control discussion in a separate thread. I still fail to see how it is relevant, other than your discussion of these regions taking away the rights of Americans (and then using it as a platform to discuss your thoughts on gun control). This had no logical connection to the terrorist attacks, except for the "mecca of thought" argument which made sense, but terrorists aren't thinking: "These guys don't allow Americans to have guns. Let's go after them." but they are thinking "These locations are the root of evil Western thought." (if these Tsaernev borthers were even thinking on this level--something tells me they were just assholes).

If random patrons were equipped with pistols at the marathon, it wouldn't have helped defend themselves.

You fail to see the point because you are looking at life through rose colored glasses.  Not a smart thing to do for a person living in a war zone.  You will understand when you experience a catastrophic attack and "50%" of the nation chooses not to respond.

It's been over eight months since the gun attack in Washington DC.  Guess who it was.  A liberal attacking a conservatie group because the attacker thought the group was anti-gay.  I guess I should be anti-gun now?

we should all be anti-gun, at least in terms of guns in our home. too many idiots can get a gun. maybe i need more ed-u-ma-cation, but the logic in this one seems simple to me: stupid people can acquire guns and kill people.

why do you need a gun?

    I suppose Archie Bunker ,  er ,  I mean , Lamont Sandford has a point .

But one thing that Canadian's have learned through are on again off again gun control and registration laws is that when the laws are in place , less people die from guns , bottom line .

A second advantage is that gun registration makes it easier for law enforcement to track down and convict some of these unruly folks .

But Canadians don't have the 2nd Amendment that makes the whole thing moot.  Canada also does nott think people should serve time in prison for murder.  Bottom line.  Since we are just making shit up.

Of  course, take our guns away and less people will die.  No guns and no deaths by guns.  But that is not what the 2nd Amendement is about.

But look here.  Here we have 29 out of 100 registered voters in the United States of America, which does have the 2nd Amendment, think we may have to break ties on a region that is attacking our Constitution.

Twenty-nine percent of registered voters think that an armed revolution might be necessary in the next few years in order to protect liberties, according to a Public Mind poll by Fairleigh Dickinson University.

I know, I know.  It is just another fucking poll.  But I'm getting close that 50% you think is meaningless..

Now, I didn't look for this poll.  It was listed on a RSS feed on the Internet.  I does suggest that your region, which is under attack, is losing support across the country.  What are you idiots going to do when the rest of the nation says, "So what, they are not my problem".  That sort of leaves your asses flapping in the wind.  Your region by itself does not have the resources to protect our national interests.

here's another poll where 60% of american are in favor of more strict gun control:

"Just b/c its in the constitution doesn't mean its right."

Now, that is hilarious.   Okay Nancy, tell one thing in the Constitution that is not "right".

Reminds me of this...

"In less than two decades, the gun murder rate has been nearly cut in half"  But most dumbasses in America think it is rising.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/nationnow/la-na-nn-gun-crimes-pew-report-20130507,0,3022693.story

BTW, I laughed my ass off when people up there starting complaining about not burying that poor motherfucker, "on American soil".  Now, that just isn't right and not like a entire demographic that thinks they are the "enlightened" ones.  The motherfucker is dead and that's a fact.  Who cares where he is buried.

But getting back on topic.  I see you assholes have forgotten the latest attack on yourselves and started your newest attacks on the Constitution.  Good Fluck with the next terrorist attack on your asses.  You know I won't be flying any flags.

You're an idiot.  The attack on Boston has nothing to do with gun control (which by the way the vast majority of Americans support), and the East Coast is not a war zone.  Your moronic fantasies are nothing but yours, you're delusional if you think otherwise.

I've been saying Lamont is an idiot, and a racist, for years.

By this rate, in 2021, the entire population of the U.S. will hate Lamont for who he is, and what he says.

Fortunately, he's old and rigid, so there's a great chance that the intial rigor mortis that has begun to set in will finally take its effect by then.

Please 'Lamont', by all means, get as angry and intolerant as you want!

The IRS and the Associated Press?  Really?  Didn't take long from the "terrorist attack" in the region of the United States that is under attack to get right back at it with attacking the constitutional rights of Americans in regions not under "terrorist" attack.  Just another reason to write you motherfuckers off as a lost cause.  Now you have state sanctioned civil rights violations to your credit.  Great job, motherfuckers.  Oh, one more thing.  Looks like you fuckups get credit for Benghazi.  State sanctioned murder of Americans citizens under attack abroad.    Of course, you limp dicks have some excuse for these three major fuckups from your state sanctioned fuckup.  You know what is going to come out of this.  Runinng arms through Libya to Syria with the Sunni Turkish and NATO ally has the benefactor.  Nothing like adding a little nationalist fervor in Turkey to create atrocities in Syria.  Again, Bravo, motherfuckers.  Simply fucking outstanding.  I thought you assholes liked dictators.  I guess the Syrian dictator isn't good enough.

Lamont -- you seem to keep forgetting that YOU are the one who brought up the issues of American freedoms being challenged, not anyone else. and nobody else has agreed with you. you're just yelling into the open bar and making no sense. you keep on changing it back to those 'pussies' rather than participating in a discussion.

If you keep flaming rather than stimulating conversation, I will ban you. Not b/c you disagree. I love a good argument, but b/c you are insulting and just starting flames rather than participating in a conversation.
