other component deterioration. Perhaps clean the pots on the preamp with DeOxit. There are several outfits which will restore those units. I'd chuck the DBX 3BX noisemaker. If you took care of the Yamaha turntable as well as your vinyl, it should remain very servicable. Perhaps a new stylus or cartridge, and a belt if it has one. What is your budget for bookshelf loudspeakers?
No set budget for speakers but the wife doesn't understand the need for these things so I don't want to scare her. I'm kinda thinking about the Polk RTiA1 or RTiA3 but haven't listened to them yet. I guess that sort of sets the price range after all. Any suggestions?
