It isn't a question of "don't like".

They put out a decent product for the money. I can name a lot of products that don't sound as good to me.

But when a guy says he wants an amplifier that will do justice to a pair of speakers that cost over $5000, I have to say that there are amplifiers that sound better and will be more appropriate for those speakers. 

My Bryston amplifier makes things sound much better than 98 % of the amplifiers on the market, and there are others in the same class. Emotiva amplifiers are not quite that good from my experience with them.

98% of the cars on the road are not in the same performance class as my 2009 Corvette either. That doesn't mean I don't "like" the others. I just know which is the best, that's all. Just because I can run circles around any BMW or Audi doesn't make them 'bad" cars.

If you have good ears (as most people do), you would have little trouble discerning the difference between a Bryston 3B-SST2 and your amplifier in a direct comparison.

As I said, I think Emotiva makes a very good product for the price, and have made themselves a real niche in the market as a result.

For someone who has a home theater receiver, for example, and is typically underpowered, an Emotiva amplifier can be an excellent choice for adding some power to their system.

If I didn't have the money to idulge myself with the more expensive stuff, I would probably own some of it myself.
