I quite appreciated the D-Premier review especially as I am an owner of the device. As all the software upgrades change and improve this thing I am wondering which OS was used for the quite extensive measurements.  I also fully concur with the comparision of SPDIF (I am using my antique Meridian 208 as transport) input to WiFi. The last AIR 1.5 upgrade somewhat reduced that difference but may be I should look into an USB/SPDIF converter.

One aspect of the D-Premier which was not mentioned in the review is the digital crossover function which was one of the reasons I bought that amp. The sound I get using this function is far more dynamic and elaborating of musical details than using the same speakers with a passive crossover.

Spotify?

Hi music or sound,

Just wondering if you have any experience using Spotify through the D-Premier.  Do you know if it is possible to play on a Mac/PC and send to the D-Premier over AIR (or S-PDIF/AES)?  Same question from an iPhone.  Spotify has catalyzed an explosion of musical interest among the other members of the family so this is of enormous interest to me.

Thanks in advance!

I had the same experience

I had the same experience discovering new music using MOG but neither work presently wireless.  A future version of AIR is supposed to work with them. Presently I am using optical connection from my Mac or USB.

Thanks!

...but if you connect the Mac via S-PDIF or optical and play from Spotify on the Mac it works?

it works

It works for MOG and should also work for Spotify. Higher resolution files sound better but these services are a great way to discover new music.

Great..

..many thanks.  I'm going to check out MOG, haven't come across it before.  Here in Sweden Spotify gets all the attention!
