The Klipsch 4.1 was a computer speaker system, and is essentially an active loudspeaker. You could run directly from the Bifrost to active speakers.
The Emotiva Airmotiv 6 would work pretty well. You can try them and return them within 30 days for a purchase price refund if you don't want them.
The speakers are going to be primarily paired with a computer for the moment, in the semi-distant future they may be moved to acompany a proper home theatre setup with a tv etc, but for now I am happy with my computer setup.
How does a powered speaker compared to one that utilizes an amp/receiver/etc? If this is a completely ignorant question, I apologize.
Consider giving the Emotiva Pro Airmotiv 6 a try.
