I recall, back in the hazy days of yore, that when giving directions you never used the term "straight", you always said "forward."

Layers, man. Layers.

Your military left, dumbass.

Anyway, he does have a point.  It was stupid for Obama's people to set him up for this sort of compare and contrast.  Particulary, since he is a fucking French communist.

Problem is, the directions Obama is giving are hard left and downward into economic bankruptsy. But then again, He promised to 'fundamentally transform' America.

3 1/2 years later, we now know what he meant.

Lamont,

How long do you think it will take for the mental midgets at the Democrat National Committee to pull this slogan before the Nov. election?

Well, since the "HOPE" slogan was such a really good one I don't think they will change this one until the Internet goes viral over it.  Like the Obama "Socialism" Joker poster that was pulled from this forum.  Well, it was and still is true.  Nevertheless, it was pulled.  I really don't see much difference between the two myself.

Not a nickel's worth of difference. It's just amazing isn't it? I am fully convinced that alot of people in this Country are so blindingly stupid that they would'nt know the difference between their ass and a hole in the ground. Tons of "circumstantial" evidence that Obama is nothing more than a marxist/socialist..(circumstantial....give me a freakin break!

Obama's....

...Father was communist

..Mother was a communist.

..Grandmother was a socialist.

Obama's childhood mentor in Honolulu, Frank M. Marshall was a black theology communist.

H. Cone was a communist and sympathizer to Fidel Castro and Che' Guevara in Cuba.

At Occidental Univ., Obama was described by his classmates as a radical marxist.

Obama admitted in his book 'Dreams of my Father' that in his college years, he felt more comfortable hanging around the marxist professors.

Obama launched his political career in the apartment of terrorists William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.

Obama's pastor, Jeremiah Wright preached black liberation theology while Obama sat there for 20 years,

Obama appointed Van Jones, a self-proclaimed communist, as the 'green czar.'

Obama appointed Anita Dunn, who said her favorite philosopher was Mao Zedong, to a cabinet position.

Obama's policies based on 'fairness' is straight out of the Communist Manifesto.

and the list goes on and on... and alot of people don't seem to even give a shit.

Whats worse is the fact that blithering idiots will fight tooth and nail to protect Obama and 99% of the time and they no absolutely nothing about current politics or the Constitution, go figure. People like this have absolutely no business stepping into a voting booth.

We live in an Idiocracy.

Maybe it was picked to denote a difference with the Republican platform, which is entirely "Backward";...outlaw abortions and force women to use illegal abortionists, end taxes on the rich, eliminate all restrictions on polluters and Wall Street....

Obama had carte blanche for the first two years in office with a Democrat controlled Congress and Senate. He got everything he wanted and the economy has been spiraling downward ever since. All this fraud has done is pass out regulation after regulation. That result has been job losses.

About your quote above on abortion: Nobody 'forces' anyone to do anything. People make choices.

End taxes on the rich??   If you taxed every millionaire and billionaire at a rate of 100% and confiscated all thier earnings....you could fund the government for 18 weeks, Government doesn't have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem. The college professors Obama appointed have no grasp on the free market or capitalism that built this nation, all they know is redistribution. We live in a realistic economic world not some classroom Keynesian computer model world of what economics should be, or determined to be from some faceless bureaucrat mastermind.

Margaret Thatcher put it very succinctly, "Liberalism is a really great idea until you run out of other peoples money,"

Yeah.... the 'polluters'.. Tell that to the coal mining industry in West Virginia that Obama has systematically put out of business increasing unemployment. Same for the fisheries in the Northeast. Same for the oil industry particularly in Louisiana. And the list goes on... job losses, bottom line. And if Obama gets his way, he will institute Cap and Trade (tax) that will be the death knell. This administration is dangerous to the prosperity of America and the economic future of our children.

By the way, while Obama was in the Senate, he voted for the bailouts as did most of the Democrats too, so your above statement makes no sense in discrediting only Republicans concerning Wall St.

Anyone who isn't a total moron knows that there are two fundamental things that torpedoed the economy, and that Obama inherited an impossible situation that no one can fix readily. The Republicans don't have anything resembling a plan; they just whine about the situation and ignore where the problem came from as if it is somehow Obama's fault, which is incredible hypocrisy and stupid as hell.

The first was the unparalled deficit that Bush ran up by insisting on lowering taxes while increasing spending dramatically...duhhhh. His administration was the most fiscally irresponsible in history, and onyone who denies that or tries to claim that is not most of the current problem is totally devoid of any sense whatsoever. Bush threw the monkey wrench in the engine, and if Obama can't fix it right now it's his fault; sure, that makes sense to anyone who is an idiot.

The second was the financial collapse that was made possible by Congress eliminating all meaningful regulations that would have engendered some semblance of responsibility in the financial world. That happened a LONG time before Obama came on the scene.

As for abortion, choice is the point; the republicans want to pass laws to DENY women any meaningful choices by making them illegal.

Fisheries have largely been destroyed by overfishing and pollution over a period of decades. Your allegation that Obama destroyed them is so laughable that it makes you look like a total fool. The only thing the government has been able to do after the fact is try to eliminate the pollution and restrict fishing so that the populations can breed and recover. Most fishermen recognize these truths; only a few are stupid enough to whine about badly needed limits on catch size (which in any case were instituted long before Obama by the fisheries biologists). Your statements on this are totally uninformed and show no knowledge whatsoever of the facts. You need to become informed before you comment.

AS for coal mining, the allegation that the industry has been destroyed by anyone is made nonsensical by the current high production figures....duhhh. How ridiculous! The people of West Virginia and Pennsyslvania are the ones trying to get the coal companies to act more responsibly, and they are the ones who might lose some jobs as a result, so it is only fair to listen to what they say. In any case, 90% of the job losses are a result of automation and a switch to open-pit operations that require only a few men to run. You are a little short on facts; they are readily available in many publications.

If that's true, and its not, name 1 thing ..just 1 thing the Obama admin has done in the last 3 1/2 years to remedy the problem? Nothing! only exascerbated the problems with the economy. Unemployment was 7.25 when Bush left office, for 3 1/2 years under Obama it has steadily risen, and stayed over 9%, It has gotten so bad, that the Obama admin has stopped counting the number of people that has stopped looking for work, so realistically, unemployment is actually at about 15%. Hope and change? I think not. 3/ 1/2 years with nothing to show for it. period!

The Republicans don't have anything resembling a plan; they just whine about the situation and ignore where the problem came from as if it is somehow Obama's fault, which is incredible hypocrisy and stupid as hell.

That's total B.S.  The Republican house has submitted 5...count 'em 5 budgets... ALL have been rejected by Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, these same House and Senate Democrats have not authored any legislation to reduce the deficit. 5 budgets compared to the Dems NO budgets, Get your facts straight.

"Unparalled" deficit Bush ran up??  Compare the Bush years with Obama.

Presidents don't inherit anything when they become president .  He knew all about the economy during his first campaign, moved "Forward", and subsequently made his own radical rather than fundamental solution on how to fix it.  This is his economy and if he is not reelected it will become the next president's economy.  "Forward".

"in history".....  Really??   The National Debt rose to 4.899 for 8 years,,,that's 8 years of the Bush presidency, compared to Obama's 3  1/2 years increasing the debt another 4.939..in just 3 1/2 years.

The latest posting from the Bureau of Public Debt at the Treasury Department shows the National Debt now stands at $15.566 trillion. It was $10.626 trillion on President Bush's last day in office, which coincided with President Obama's first day.

The National Debt also now exceeds 100% of the nation's Gross Domestic Product, the total value of goods and services

Chart - Deficit 2012

The second was the financial collapse that was made possible by Congress eliminating all meaningful regulations that would have engendered some semblance of responsibility in the financial world.

So regulations are the answer. right? Are you aware of just how many regulations are already on the books concerning financial entities??? The U.S. market is the most heavily regulated industry in the free world for God's sake! Which is one huge reason why companies are leaving the U.S. for foreign markets.

But we need more regulations...right?

As for abortion, choice is the point; the republicans want to pass laws to DENY women any meaningful choices by making them illegal.

Abortion?  Abortion is a state issue, not the Feds. Nowhere in the Constitution does it make a provision for the choice of an abortion. Unless, their is an abortion clause I'm not aware of.

Fisheries have largely been destroyed by overfishing and pollution over a period of decades. Your allegation that Obama destroyed them is so laughable that it makes you look like a total fool.

Fishermen, anglers, charter and party boat captains, and marine business owners from coast-to-coast gathered here to demand changes in fisheries law that they say is putting them out of work.
This year and next endangered coastal fishing grounds in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans are to be closed to allow depleted fish species to recover from overfishing. The closures could be as long as 10 years.
"A lot of coastal communities across the United States have had severe negative economic impacts from the excessive regulations," says Pam Anderson, the operations manager at the Capt. Anderson Marina in Panama City Beach in Florida. "Folks can't carry on."
The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, which enforces the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, introduced annual catch limits, closed some areas to fishing to stop overfishing and intend to close others. While the no-fishing areas represent only 1 percent of the total U.S. waters, the closures means a loss of jobs and revenues for local economies.
While fishing is still allowed in Gulf of Mexico, a region of the Atlantic Ocean from Florida to North Carolina was closed initially to fishing from Jan. 4 to June 2, to allow stocks of red snapper to replenish. The period can be extended for another six-month period.
Fishermen fear long replenishment periods will have severe impact on the commercial and recreational fishing industry.
"At least a thousand jobs in Fort Lauderdale will be lost this year," said Bob Jones, director of the Southeastern Fisheries Association in Tallahassee, Fla. "The economic impact will be far beyond fishing industry." Local economies, who rely on recreational fisherman, also will be hit by the fishing restrictions.
Kevin McDonald, a recreational fisherman from Pennsylvania who came to the rally, said he stopped going to his usual haunt in North Carolina after similar federal regulations kicked in three years ago. He used to spend around $3,000 in each trip on housing, food and equipment rental.
Federal fishery experts said that in the long run, the closures and the resulting rebound in the number of fish, help the industry.
"It is much more financially stable and lucrative to the fishing industries," said Monica Allen, a spokeswoman for NOAA's Fisheries Service.
The Atlantic sea scallop — usually found off New Jersey and Massachusetts — was overfished in 1994 and the value of the catch was about $85 million that year. After being closed for seven years, Mid-Atlantic catch was significantly higher. In 2008, the yield was $370 million, Allen said.
At the protest rally, the fishermen, who had assembled under the flag of United We Fish, also said NOAA was basing its closure decisions on flawed data. They contend that the fish count is actually higher than NOAA's estimate.
For example, NOAA says that red snapper and black grouper in the Gulf of Mexico and Southeast Atlantic are overfished.
Anderson disputes that assessment.
"There are more red snappers in the waters than in 30-40 years," Anderson said of the Gulf.
Some fishermen say there are other reasons for depletion of fish stocks. Duncan Maclean operates a Pacific salmon trawler out of the Half Moon Bay area, south of San Francisco. The bay has been closed to salmon fishermen because of overfishing for two years now.
Maclean said the low fish population is due to toxic agricultural runoff and municipal treatment plants that kill small fish in the bay, which is a breeding place for some species.
"There is a 100 percent unemployment in fishing industries in the area," said Maclean, who's also an adviser to the Pacific Fishery Management Council.
The annual loss to California's economy from combined commercial and recreational salmon harvests are around $1.4 billion a year in recent years, according to a report from Florida-based Southwick Associates. The area also saw the loss of thousands of jobs, Maclean said, including those of equipment manufacturers, equipment and fish wholesalers, retailers, commercial charter boats and river guides.
Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., sought congressional review Tuesday of the federal government's restrictions on commercial, recreational and charter fishing in Florida.
Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C., stressed at the rally that jobs were her priority and that deadlines set by the act were arbitrary. "Flexibility will allow fishing stocks to rebuild and help fishing industry to thrive." Hagan supports a bipartisan effort to amend the act but indicated that balancing environmental and economic concerns

Now, you were talikng about me looking like a fool... care to retract that?

AS for coal mining, the allegation that the industry has been destroyed by anyone is made nonsensical by the current high production figures....duhhh.

How ridiculous! The people of West Virginia and Pennsyslvania are the ones trying to get the coal companies to act more responsibly,

Yesterday the Obama Administration effectively outlawed coal as a fuel source and it underscores the importance of Congress severely circumscribing the authority of regulating agencies. .

The Environmental Protection Agency will issue the first limits on greenhouse gas emissions from new power plants as early as Tuesday, according to several people briefed on the proposal. The move could end the construction of conventional coal-fired facilities in the United States.

The proposed rule — years in the making and approved by the White House after months of review — will require any new power plant to emit no more than 1,000 pounds of carbon dioxide per megawatt of electricity produced. The average U.S. natural gas plant, which emits 800 to 850 pounds of CO2 per megawatt, meets that standard; coal plants emit an average of 1,768 pounds of carbon dioxide per megawatt.

By outlawing new coal-fired electric generation plants and ignoring nuclear power, the Administration has set in motion a plan to make the nation dependent upon natural gas and a mishmash of politically correct but non-viable sources such as solar and wind as older plants are decommissioned. Essentially, Obama has done via regulatory means what it could not accomplish in Congress: to set the trajectory for exorbitant electricity prices in the service of reducing “greenhouse gasses.”

This is not a new problem. Indeed, last year Speaker Boehner wrote to Obama to complain that the Administration was not being forthcoming in disclosing its regulatory agenda and, as far as I can discern, was roundly ignored.

Whether it be in the form of directing you to purchase a product you don’t wish to buy, telling religious organizations what they have to allow, or making electricity unaffordable, the cancerous growth of regulations presents the greatest danger to our liberty. Until the Congress decides to man up and take back the power that it has relinquished we are in a death spiral as a free people.

90% of the job losses are a result of automation

Total B.S. straight out of the mouth of Obama.

Yeah, Obama also said this to obfuscate his failed policies. Automation has been around for decades! So what's the solution? End all ATM's? After all, those jobs could be suited for bank tellers.  I thought the liberals were all progressives?? So we should go backwards? I get it, we should use the government to stifle all automation, like IBM who builds computer robots to weld automobiles in our factories. I guess we put them out of business as well. By the way, do you know exactly how many people work in that industry that builds the computerized welders?

The point of automation causing job losses is idiotic!

If you parrot Obama, you will be as successful as Obama has been with the economy.

My posts are 'stupid'?

..Well then it should be quite easy for you to refute my posts. If so, then 'educate' me.

Hint: I am already familiar with the Democrat National Committee's spokesmouth Debbie Wasserman-Schultz's talking points, as well as Obama's spokesmouth David Axelrod which brings me back to the phrase, "just plain stupid."
