I use a low end HK 3380. HK is good stuff. That one will push your speakers just fine.
I listened to one a couple of months ago. However, I was actually more impressed by the Anthem Integrated 225 which sounds great, is almost as feature rich as the HK990, and is as powerful and cheaper.
