You can purchase the XPA-2, listen to it in your system, in your room, and if you don't like it, return it and you'll only be out the return shipping as the cost of an audition. My guess is it will well complement your other equipment.

I power my Sources with 2 UPA-1's 200/350 Watts

I saved a few bucks on special ..and felt i did NOT need the 300 / 500 of the XPA-2

With the XDA-1 Dac for dac / pre the setup is AWESOME ...

I also use the second RCA outs of the XDA-1 DAC for 2 x 15" Powered Subs ...

I roll off the subs at 40Hz and run the Sources Full range

Life is GOOD ...the Music is GREAT
