Audio is changing rapidly, as Kal often tells us. I myself have a fine stereo room, but also a home theatre with surround sound capabiltities.
Frankly, the latter sounds much more realistic than the former. When the Master Audio light is illuminated on the front panel of my AV receiver, I can hear that the dynamic range and resolution I am getting are far superior to ordinary CD and vinyl stereo sources.
Is s time to change the name?
Stereo = solid and is not defined by the number of channels employed. I am glad you have seen the light.
OTOH, a change in attitude, for some, might be timely.
