Whew! Good news! 50 bucks higher and it would have been ridiculous!
I heard that speaker, almost as good as the Infinity Intermezzo 2.6.
The three-day event will take place Friday through Sunday, September 16 through 18, from noon to 7pm on Friday and from noon to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Magico’s Alon Wolf will be on hand Friday and Saturday to demonstrate and discuss the complete line of Magico loudspeakers.
Housed in a hard-anodized enclosure of aluminum and copper, the Q1 incorporates a complete set of Magico-designed drivers including a new 7” Nano-Tec woofer designed for improved efficiency and greater power handling. And while the Q1’s cabinet is extensively braced and well-damped, the speaker is directly coupled to its matching stand for further damping.
Including its stand, the Q1 measures 44” H by 10” W by 15.2” D and weighs 120 lbs. Without its stand, the Q1 measures 14.2” H by 9” W by 14.2” D and weighs 60 lbs. The Q1 costs $24,950/pair.

I can't recall off the top of my head how much the top Sonus Faber's cost but I do know that Verity Audio, JM Focal and a few others are in that price range if not less so as monitors this speaker is going to have to hit a homerun to distinguish itself within that price range. Some of the speakers I mentioned might or might not be monitors but I would love to hear this Magico and judge for myself.
I wish I could hear them (hell - I wish I could afford them)! They sure look beautiful!
