And here it is with the original Pioneer Elite emblems still attached and I still have the beautiful cabinet that I fell in love with when I first saw it in an upscale A/V show room.

Great job. I did see something similar a decade and some years back.
Then I thought of it as one development of the radio gramophone cabinets, (the later models actually were made for stereo).
Guess it was shipping costs that brought the end (also for TV cabinets) and we got the development into the modular boxes we have today.
