Thanks. Yes, it's a great sounding room. It may not pass WAF muster, though I'm lucky to have a wife who is understanding AND an audiophile in her own right.

Note that this photo was taken aboout two years ago and I've changed many things since, though the basic look remains. I now have Mackie 624 bookshelf size speakers on stands, replacing the semi-yucky McIntosh speakers in the photo. Those McIntosh speakers were okay for the time (early 1980s!), but its piezo tweeter was a real deal-stopper for me! And the Carver Sunfire sub has since been replaced by an SVS PB12-Ultra/2.

ROF,L. In a previous life I owned two professional recording studios, so I'm well aware of the damaging effects of echo. Note that there is very little treatment flat on the walls and other surfaces in this room. The back wall (not shown) is lined almost entirely with traps, including all corners and tri-corners - even on the floor. But all of the remaining treatment is corner bass trapping and first reflection absorption. So the bass is incredibly tight and clean, without a hint of boominess, yet the room is not overly dead sounding either. Anyone in my area who wants to come by for a visit is welcome any time.
