Alternating with the Snell LCR7 XLs in my listening room in March and April have been the Electra 1007s, which use Focal's beryllium-diaphragm tweeter. I am reviewing this speaker in the June issue.

I heard the 1027be at RMAF and was very surprised by how good they sounded. I tend to be somewhat of a franco-phobe, but that was a lot of fun to listen to, with the Pathos gear. I suppose I have to wait for the review to get yer thoughts on the smaller 1007be?!?

Yup. The paying customers get priority.

Is that a BENCHMARK DAC with headphones hooked up to it? I recognize that blue LED.

Yes, it's hooked up to the Monitor output of the Levinson No.30.6 so I can audition any digital source through headphones (Sennheiser HD600 or HD650, hooked up with Cardas cable) without having to disconnect anything.

Really, really wished I could have auditoned this speaker when I bought my Krell Resolution 3's. I believe that they are the same price, $4,000. I love my Krells, but I really wished I could have done a comparison.
