Thanks, Tom.
Yes.
I don't see why the idea of hi-fi as a "lifestyle" choice shouldn't be embraced. After all, it is a lifestyle choice. Why try to deny it? Hi-fi, to me, is as much about making the conscious decision to enjoy a high-quality experience as it is about sound, or music, or specs, or anything else.
Hi-fi should be sexy, hi-fi should be cool. If it's not, why waste the time and money?
We have lifestyle choices it's called Bose or B&O.
Would you expand on these thoughts? I don't see your point. Are you saying that these are the only choices we have? That these two brands spoil the entire market? What?
They are the only ones I know of, that are marketing themselves in that manner. Though others are doing so defacto by their pricing. For example Wilson or Magico are CEO lifestyle choices. The rest of us can make do with what ever lifestyle choice.
Is there any lifestyle choice, and I'm talking about ones you would admit, that you do in the privacy of your own home? everything mentioned is out in public to impress them. Cars, boats, motorcycles and such have to been seen by the uncool to demonstrate how cool I am. Most of the spiffy design stuff seems like it is for either making you feel urban and hip or not pissing off your wife with stereo stuff.
...what happened with Rose Marie, playa?
