I am a lucky guy.

Glad you enjoyed the column, Tom. Thank you. Art Dudley will offer a complete report on the RP-1 in our May issue.

I also enjoyed the column Stephen. It's wonderful that we have a great column now to attract more audiophiles at the entry level.

his desk always smells of maple syrup

I think that gives him deity status.

I've been working on a new audiophile fragrance combining maple syrup, black cardamon, red Sharpies, and vinyl LP jackets. So far, so good.

PS: Ariel's desk always smells of hot sauce. Which is just weird.

I am really enjoying your approach more and more each month. I really felt 'you' in it this month. It really helps to remember your room from the past pics previously posted. Orange couch.

Its a shame that more 'normal' women cant appreciate what you are writing about each month, given most everyone's obsession with technology and music.

You'd think that women would be impressed with your column. My problem is far sadder- I used to be very attractive and dated quite a few archetypes, and I had no problems for many a year with women, but now that generations change, and I am past my prime, not a chance. Guess I pissed away those really rare chances for great loves, and karmically paying the price now (for being a player/idiot). Oh joy.

At least the column is your muse for now? She smells like paper. (Magazine paper smells really nice.) Maybe they should put perfume-inserts into the magazine that smell of that 'new stereo-component' smell or Okki Nokki cleaner juice?

Thanks, Glotz.

I hope so. I'm personally acquainted with at least 10 women who read my column every month, and, unless they're just messing with me (which is possible), they all seem to like it a lot.
